Teenager Interviews Director and Cast of MAXXXINE - "What's Under the Bed?" Ep 404 - FULL EPISODE

NEW EPISODE IS HERE!
Season 4 continues with another episode of "What's Under the Bed?" and this is one for the books!
Dax got a private screening of the new movie, "MAXXXINE" and he had a chance to sit down with it's director and cast!
TI WEST makes his second appearance on "What's Under the Bed?" This time, he is promoting the last installment in his "X" trilogy, "MAXXXINE". The movie is the star-studded conclusion to the Maxine Minx story that was set off with "X" and "Pearl".
Some of the cast is on hand to answer a few questions as well. GIANCARLO ESPOSITO is a legend in the business, playing roles in SPIKE LEE films and iconic roles like GUS FRING from the series' "BREAKING BAD".
Then, there's the musician/artist/actor, MOSES SUMNEY who's albums "GRAE", "AROMANTICISM" and "LIVE FROM BLACKALACHIA" are not to be missed.
Also in this episode is ELIZABETH DEBICKI, fresh off her Golden Globes Win for her role as Princess Diana in "THE CROWN". You may also recognize her from her work in BAZ LUHRMAN's "THE GREAT GATSBY"; as Alice in STEVE MCQUEEN's thriller, "WIDOWS"; or her part in CHRISTOPHER NOLAN's "TENET".
Last but not least, what a thrill to be able to talk with another legend, KEVIN BACON. He's not only the iconic actor from epic films like, "FOOTLOOSE," "A FEW GOOD MEN," "JFK," "NATIONAL LAMPOON'S ANIMAL HOUSE," "FRIDAY THE 13TH," "DINER," "PLANES, TRAINS AND AUTOMOBILES," "APOLLO 13," "SLEEPERS," "WILD THINGS," "MYSTIC RIVER", and so many more, but he's also the star of one of my favorites: "TREMORS!"
This episode was such a treat. It was shot while traveling in Chicago, away from the WUTB studio. We want to send a tremendous thank you to TI WEST and A24 for setting this up.

Great stuff as always man! Saw the movie this morning and it was a solid end to a stellar horror trilogy!

Thank you! I really love the movie and in context of the entire trilogy and what Ti West was able to accomplish, the movie is a miracle! I have watched it three times now and I have to say I get more out of it each viewing. It is dense with references, influences, film making humor, and so much more. It is as much a love letter to cinema and Hollywood as Tarantino's Once Upon A Time in Hollywood. I consider them both masterpieces. Thanks for watching and thanks for your comments.

Thank you! That's one of my show's tropes and it began with the very first episode. My parents hung out with Foo Fighters one summer at several shows on their tour before I was born. They had a charicature made of the band and their tour manager, a guy named Gus Brandt. They had two made. One as a gift to the band and one to be signed and keep. When I was researching my first guest BJ McDonnell, I learned he played in a punk band that would be asked to open for some big acts that came through his town and Gus was mentioned as the guy setting that up. So, for the interview, knowing BJ just directed Foo Fighters in "Studio 666", I broke it out and BJ responded so well. Then, when I was researching Hannah Fierman for my next interview, I found out she made art work and would rent it to movies through a prop house. I contacted the prop house and rented a piece of hers for the episode and that went real well. From then on, I always try to find some sort of piece or "totem" for them. One of my favorites is Kane Hodder's high school year book because it's so rare. He went to school in the South Pacific Island Kwajalein and I got a year book!!!! I think it blew his mind. He kept saying he doesn't even have one. With Kevin Bacon on this one, I found out his dad was on the cover of Time Magazine in 1964, so I got my hands on an issue. When Joe Dante was a kid, he wrote to FAMOUS MONSTERS magazine and I got that issue when I spoke with him. Thanks for watching and thanks for your comments.

Thank you so much! The name was a stroke of inspiration when I was really struggling for something and nothing but bad ideas. I'm very proud of the name and I think the show has really grown into it.... it's like "what's under your bed," or "what makes you tick?" And that's the interview... it's to cover their biographies, careers and find out what's "under the hood"
