I see alot of comments saying "just get a citizenship". Those people do not understand how hard it is for them to get one. It's hard being in their shoes. I'm a citizen here and I'm Hispanic. Immigrants at least give effort to make a good life and future for their children. Trump is only mentioning Mexico. There is also Venezuela. And other s as well. Everyone's so quick to forget that the US was founded by, created by, and made of immigrants. There was a time Irish people were persecuted when they came to the US, much like Mexicans and Latinos. They changed their last names to more 'American' names so that it wasn't obvious that they were Irish. And now so many people in the US come from Irish descent. Could you imagine being persecuted just because you were Irish? You didn't come from Ireland yourself, or you were just a child when your parents came over, but still people despised you because you were Irish.

The people that did that to his grandparents wouldn't come to the US... They have power through fear/control/drug cartels/trafficking rings/etc. They would lose most of that if they came here. It's the victims that want to seek refuge, the others likely want to stay where they are because they can control everything and do whatever they want.

DACA recepients have to meet strict guidelines (at such a young age) such as no criminal records FINGERPRINTS, pay TAXES and pursue higher education. They are not eligible for financial aid or any government assistance. Every 2 years they have to pay $500+ filing fees and preferred to hire immigration attorneys to help secure the rigorous application. They showcase their value to american citizens. They are your nurses, teachers, first responders, and doctors.

Imagine a kid. He was 1-2 when DACA was announced. That kid joined the program before he could comprehend what it meant. 5 years later, this kid is around 6-7. He's in elementary school, learning everything he needs to be successful in the world. Now, he is going to be deported and taken away from everything in his life. This is just a thought, not a real story, but this kid just lost literally any chance at succeeding due to the taking away of DACA.

It makes my heart break for my family who I love so much and other immigrated people. I cry every time I go to sleep. I'm afraid that I will be separated from my family or in a country that is not a good place to be in. Everyone needs to stand with the dreamers and immigrated people. Let's make everyone hold hands and not be separated from all their hard work and risking life to get here.

@lalocaDaze 7 жыл бұрын
ImThatOneGuy Yes, the website does not say that, but please hear me out. I had the mentality that it didn't take more than 2 year and people were just whining for no reason. The school I went to (Del lago academy) made our grade do research on important topics and had to find a problem, make an innovation. I got this topic and found out that in reality it takes more than 10+ years to obtain citizenship or working visa. Why am I saying that it take 10+? I found out and had people in my group that knew people that had this problem. One of my family friends actually went through this, they had no criminal records and took 22 years to get citizenship. It's saddening to find out that something so "simple" and "quick" takes so much longer than reality.

As a dreamer myself, hearing about DACA being taken away really brought so much worry and stress. If I get this taken away I can no longer work my job and especially not go to college. This country is the only one I know as I was brought here at age 2. So many people don't understand that DACA doesn't really come with many benefits but the right to legally work in this country. I cannot apply for FAFSA or healthcare but people out there saying that we are taking away from these American citizens. All we want is an opportunity for success in the place that can possibly be the only one we know and have pride in without fearing that we might get kicked out simply because we lack a simple piece of paper.

My parents didn't bring me and my siblings. They crossed when my big brother was in the womb. Now because they crossed, we have great lives, we are smart and talented. But my parents aren't safe and I'm fuking pissed about the decision Congress made w/ trump

@saiza Trump is the president of the US. Like it or not he is the host of the country you are trying to sneak into. As a guest you can abide by the host's house rules and enter the country legally, or stay back in your home instead of throwing a tantrum like a kid and saying how you think the host's rules are wrong and he should change them for you.

I think if you're going to discuss something political you should show both sides so they can see the reasoning behind both opinions and then come to a conclusion themselves.

What is the other side of DACA? It as it has been shown and the program was an extreme success. Further it has overwhelming support among the population.

Doris maybe instead of denouncing the "conservatives" because they disagree with daca maybe you as an individual should do your own research and make your own opinion. Maybe wonder why so many people don't it.

All I can say is thank God my dad rescinded his application for refugee status to the US back in the 70s. I am so happy and thankful to be Canadian. My heart aches for the people of the United States who are constantly dealing with a government and a system that wants to work against them.
