If they didn't know there's people down there, then they did something incredibly stupid. If they knew there were people down there.. then they deliberately risked somebodies life. If I was let's say with a friend and I accidentally killed someone with friend being there both us knew what happened but also failed to report it, both us will still be charged with manslaughter because both was conpliciate to the facts of the case of death. 2 to 3 yrs for manslaughter is very responsible sentence but they both should of been giving atleast 7 yrs each as both failed to report / admit there guilt instead they dragged case on.... With lengthy investigation. They should of came forward from beginning when they realised what they did either way if one is guilty of manslaughter the 2nd one still gets a sentence for hiding the truth it's called conplicate to a crime it carrys a sentence either way
