See Hanni's spot-on impersonation of Dani, Haerin cast a spell, Minji take a shot of hot sauce and more! OMG, are the Aussie accents rubbing off on the whole group?

I don't think it should be a requirement for kpop idols to speak english, but it's refreshing to see a group where none of the members are left out in these types of interviews. Everyone had their time to shine ^^

i think it should be, atleast if they want to promote and gain more fame in the west and get western fans and more international fans as english is the most spoken language and a universal language. but also many of kpop idols songs have alot of english in them and some are even in full english. it doesnt sit fully right with me that they create and have english songs and try to promote in the west but cant even speak the language. and yeah newjeans interviews are very nice

@@Zoom03352 Wow that’s so very western-centric of you 🤨Kpop has always been Korean music that happens to attract international fans, if groups don’t have English-speaking members but mix a bit of English in then who cares? In Korea it’s mostly privileged kids who can speak English fluently so that’s kinda classist of you as well.

@Angel Baby I don't think they ment that in the comment it's just since Kpop is really popular globally now and since the amount of english songs groups come out with increased they probably ment that at least each idol should get the basic English vocabulary and speak atleast a few sentences. Which does make sense in a way but ofc we can't just expect each group to be perfect with english but since there are a lot more international fans the idol being able to speak english would be a great advantage.

Dani is so articulate in English. We only get to hear her English around 5% of the time. It's a nice surprise. Also, Mindy's English has been improving extremely fast. She's more comfortable using English words in this video compared to their last fully English interview. I can't wait for for interviews and videos in English!

Well of course she's Australian. Her choice of words are superb. She speaks quite eloquently considering her age. She can also read and write in Korean. Learning a second language while having mastered English at her age is pretty incredible. Her vocabulary surpasses that of normal English speaking people, at least compared to Americans lol.

i am a strong believer that to have a good group dynamic, the unnie line has to be good in directing the younger members as well. i've seen it in 2ne1, snsd, twice, lesserafim and i can see it in newjeans too. i love the way minji, hanni, danielle collectively carry the team and hype hyein and haerin, which makes them comfortable to watch. you can clearly see how they look after each other genuinely.
