Nice to see that it has been build finally ;) I changed the key functions two years ago, so the first button is "" forward, and OK. The newer PCBs also have a fourth button "Top" that allows to exit a menu. The older PCBs can be tweaked or you press Select+Jump together. In the manual you will find the new keyboard assignment and how to add a fourth button if you like.

I never would've expected the designer himself to see this video so soon after posting! The board looks great and I'm also glad to finally have it completed. I did see the button functions, that you just mentioned, in the manual after I had completed recording and was considering printing some labels to stick to the board. I'll look into that additional button as well. Thank you for the emails notifying of new FW releases. Not only is it nice to know when they are available, but they were also an occasional reminder that I needed to stop putting it off and build the thing!

Wow. Well done video. Good presentation and explanation. I was going to buy one already assembled, but now you made it interesting to build one.

I love mine use it almost every day. Wait until you get into buying adapters. It’ll open up a whole New World of testing retro computers.

HA!!! Me too. Purchased the board in late 2021. Then searched for over a year to source the parts which became very frustrating. Last year bought a pre packaged bag of parts off ebay. Hoping to get to it soon. Sad thing is I can now buy a pre built board for about what I have spent on the board and parts.

Aww man, I hear you. Building it is part of the fun though. At least in my opinion.

The programming reminds of DOS and CPM, I have not thought of that in years. I like building kits, it is very therapeutic. You did a great job!

AVRDUDE is probably one of the only command line tools I've had to use recently to program micros. I've never used CPM though, so no idea what that's like. Also, thanks!

Great video. Love the key plug adapter. Did you publish this anywhere by chance? Would love to print one for my programmer.

I don't currently have anywhere in particular I upload files to for videos I've made. Although I'm considering making a GitHub account for such purposes. You can send me a message to: the entire channel name (no spaces) at Google's email service. I can send you a copy of the STL for the part.

I was going to buy one of these but what with UK and bloody brexit it became a pain although someone in the UK is now selling them.

The prices some are reselling the boards for are insane compared to what you can buy them for straight from the source. I've seen some kits that included all components going for nearly $400USD. Pretty sure the total I spent was nowhere near that much.

@@ThatElectronicsFool This needs to be put into perspective. If someone assembles the device for you, it will take two to three hours, then they take on the warranty and have to pay taxes. Calculate what you would charge, including all the components. And don't forget that His Majesty's Revenue and Customs wants 20%. :)

I totally agree, for a completely built unit. I was mostly referring to the un-assembled kits being sold where you still have to put it together yourself. I guess it just hurts a bit to see people paying that much when I know I didn't spend that much on it.
