***** To be fair, Namco X Capcom (which PXZ is a sequel to) showed that the series is its own canon, too. Otherwise, Morrigan and Demitri would be fighting for the top spot in the Makai realm. As it is, though, in the NXC/PXZ universe, there's someone else running the underworld: Enma-Daio and his ferrywoman Andaba, from Genpei Touma Den. Still, I guess I should've known Tekken and Street Fighter are the same universe, as such was confirmed by Street Fighter X Tekken and Tekken X Street Fighter (why do they have to have such similar names?).

Must be really weird for Akuma to be in a 3D game. I mean, he's used to fighting in a 2D plane, but now he has to learn the mystic art of side stepping! It's ok Akuma, it took most of the Tekken characters 3 games to learn how to side step, you'll get the hang of it! LOL.

say whatever you want about Akuma. his arrival (and Geese later) saved the franchise and also allowed players from other fighting games to try Tekken. Even a SF legend like Justin Wong has played T7 and also plays T8 now. and personally, Tekken 7 allowed me to meet two of the biggest badasses in fighting games (along with Kazuya and company)

I hope they don't butcher Akuma simply because he's in a Tekken game. His gameplay looks sick and stays true to his Street Fighter gameplay, but story wise, I hope he doesn't just "lose" in the end. I don't think Kazuya or Heichi can beat Akuma, so if he loses, I'll see it as a huge plothole that was there just because the game is Tekken. Either way, it looks great.

He wasn't killed by kazuya. The fight was also not in the story. +Kazuya was shown to be weak when fighting akuma. The last attack of kazuya was his strongest. And Akuma's gohadoken were not really charged. It still negated kazuyas beam. In all the ways we see is that akuma would have won. So kazuya definetly fleed fro. battle. And in Tekken 8 akuma isn't mentioned. So he has nothing to do with the story. +He can't die.

I guess this means Tekken X Street Fighter will still happen, since Akuma is in Tekken 7, and better, it seems he's somehow involved in the game's story. If Tekken X Street Fighter still happens, then at least Namco will be in charge, and they'll ignore any SJW bs that comes in their way(unlike Capcom). Why in the world would Akuma, repay his debt to anyone? I thought the guy was all about fighting. I never thought he'd be noble. I can understand Kazumi wanting Akuma to kill Heihachi, if she failed to do so, but why Kazuya too? He has nothing to do with the shit Heihachi did. In fact, the only reason Kazuya is the person he is, is because of Heihachi. I guess Kazumi wants the Devil Gene to end, but she's too late for that, Jin is around, and Lars probably has it as well, so the Devil Gene won't end. Also, it seems a time skip happened between Tekken 6 & Tekken 7, because Xiaoyu looks a little older.

In the T7 trailer, she says that Kazuya is still young, and who knows what Heihachi will do with Kazuya and with countless others. But now she is saying that Kazuya must die. Sounds like a contradiction with these two trailers; plus, it has me to believe that Akuma is Kazuya real dad and not Heihachi. Hmm...

Since he's not in TEKKEN 8 I'm guessing Harada and the Developer's changed their mind and are no longer going to make him canon in the TEKKEN story and we will never know how Akuma and Kazumi know each other and how did she save his life

@@SamuelJohnsonYTHe was so overpowered in Tekken 7 that even when he got nerfed like 10 times over the cycle of the game he was still overpowered to a degree. Like all he had to do was just get one hit in and you would be toast. That’s not even getting into the fact that he could jump.

Why would Akuma owes someone with the Devil Gene even though he is SO POWERFUL?I think the Devil Gene is more powerful then Satsui no Hado 'cause Devil Jin just destroyed an entire forest , that just half of a Devil Gene.Maybe the full Devil Gene could destroy an entire planet just like Oni fighting with Asura.

Afiq A' Springtrap We've already seen the pre-split devil gene through Kazuya in T1 and T2. Also, Akuma has canonically destroyed a mountain and an island without being at full power so I can't really agree with the Devil Gene being stronger than the Satsui no Hado.

the movies weren't made by the same company, the animated movie was and that was pretty decent. But i don't like street fighter that's my opinion i've seen some tournaments for the game and it seems very spammie with people just doing the ranged attack non stop where as tekken tournaments people are pulling off awesome combos. and i simply don't like how the guy from street fighter looks out of place he doesn't fit the art style, still has that cartoonish look about him.
