SEASON 3 UPDATE: Big changes are that Julia lost the safe hopkick OS (was clearly never meant to be there), but gains a plus on hit low in SS4 and a shining wizard with f+3, 1+2 (this is surprisingly tricky to break in the neutral too). Overall her mids are weaker, but she's more rounded and even better at breaking down turtles now. - A few shout outs! It was pretty tough juggling work and making this at the same time, so without a co-editor it's clear I need to make more time for the channel to keep the videos coming. Big announcement soon! Finally, one small error in the combo section. The u/f+3+4 wall combo is meant to hit low and stun them on the ground for ff+3 to hit, similar to Katarina's stomp

Decided to pick up a new character after 15+ years of Mishimas and this guide has already helped me a lot in terms of strategy. I see SO MANY guides just give simple BnB moves/combos while demonizing other moves where I feel like this guide does a good job at explaining the benefits of most every angle of Julia's game. As an older guy with not a lot of time to play, I appreciate this video a lot! Thanks!

I've been watching this religiously for the fast few days, as I'm a Tekken newcomer (other than a casual button masher in 4, 5 and advance). Learning the game with Julia and this has been helping out a ton. Learning a few moves at a time, going into practice mode, treasure battle, and repeat. Keep up the good work!

Wow, thank you for an in-depth guide with my new main, Julia. Every bit of information you said here is very useful as a Julia user from previous Tekken series. Mastering her again in the newest installment indeed takes a lot of time and practice and this guide helps a lot to lessen that. Hopefully we get additional information from you once the season 4 comes out.

excellent content as always, been playing this character since she dropped as someone who started with tekken 7 and she has one of the most fun and cheap movesets ever. The only thing that i'm surprised wasn't in was the use of the shotgun 2 followup in order to condition the opponent to respect windroll for mixups. letting the second hit rip and putting that in the opponent's head is sometimes necessary in order to make your shotgun pressure scary.

Awesome video as always TBS & Fergus Just wanted to mention that for the u/f+4,3,1 wall ender: Switch out the f,f+1 with a jab for small characters. If not, let them fall down a little bit before doing f,f+1 into the ender. And for big characters, change your wall combo to f,f+1, jab, d/f+1 into f,f+3, in order to get the best oki. Also the Power Crush wallbounce requires entirely different conversions than the ff+1+2 wallbounce.

I would have mentioned that the max punishment for df3,1+2 is stepping the second hit on the left. You can get a full launch by almost any character i think. P.s. super good job

Just from the very first two to three minutes of gameplay I couldn't help but notice a striking similarity shared in Julia's moveset with Asuka and Xiayou. I don't think anyone was ever expecting Julia to be top tier but she looks fun to play from a defensive punisher perspective.

quick note about uf3+4 as a wall ender its only guaranteed if you land it as a low wall hit (60%) as you can hold back to avoid the ff3 otherwise! you also don't need a high wallsplat, for example if you carry with f21 f3~1 and you'll get a lower wall splat and doing a uf3+4 instantly will land a low hit! Also after a long range wall bounce you can do b23 1+2, that string also works as a safe wall combo and you can delay the last hit for a low hit and great oki! Great video though! Thanks for taking your time!

Sorry if this has already been asked, but do you plan on doing an essentials video for Hwoarang? I'm new to Tekken and focusing on Kazumi (your video was amazing btw), but he has most of my interest but all the guides and everything arn't super beginner friendly, and your videos really narrow down what to focus on right at the beginning a lot.
