Tekken 7 Paul Punishment/Defense Guide

5 жыл бұрынHow to effectively and efficiently handle season 2 Paul's move list on block and looking for opportunities to duck highs. Paul has 1,2, and 1+2 throw breaks, and he has a 12 frame homing move, so he's tough to step against. Utilize KZfaq's speed function to slow or speed up the video as needed. I tried to be as inclusive as possible, however I am human, so there could be small things missed, please let me know. Thanks. I hope this guide is helpful to all of you. Feng is my main, so all the guides are done as him, however the frame data/knowing highs to duck can be applied to any character.

Thank you! Yes, Feng's WS punishment can be awkward since the hitbox on his WS3 is a bit wonky. He also has somewhat mediocre options since he doesn't have anything better than WS4 until i14.

Sheesh this guy can duck the second 1 in paul's d/f 1,1,2 just by reaction... no wonder he is in tekken god prime

What to do with paul ff4?? I always sidestep and gets punish.

While ff4 is pretty linear, i have a lot more success sidewalking it if Paul is using it from far away, like as an approach tool. If he's close to you and using it, it becomes more difficult to sidewalk on reaction, but becomes quite a lot easier to jab float him for a small combo. And lastly, you can block it, it is quite slow start up. The move can vary from -5~+6 according to rbnorway, it becoming more + at tip range. So if you do block a close up ff4, he's negative enough for you to take your turn. Hope that helps outline some of the defensive options you have.

Pencil usually players always do it from Far to get closer.and its always safe landing if i block it.

fcdf1+2 is -11 ? you gotta be fucking kidding me. That move should be -14 atleast and duck launchable.
