Thanks for highlighting the tutorials and training mode. Most FG devs take the concepts of these games for granted, not realizing that most people will not look outside the game for learning resources, important information should be In Game. Seeing this makes me very excited for the game.

Tekken is my favorite fighter, then Mortal Kombat then Smash. Tekken 3 is my favorite and I just love the series

Tekken 8 might be the most important entry in the series as it is the game that seems to be bringing people from other community to try the game mostly from mk which means it will get way more coverage and love specially if it turn out to be and play as good as it looks

I honestly really hope the customization Day1 is way better fleshed out than T7 was. I probably put more hours into TT2 on making silly outfit-pair teams than I did actually fighting, and 7's options Day1 were EXTREMELY limited by comparison. Tekken Ball being back too just puts such a massive smile on my face.

It would really be interesting to hear what you guys think about Tekken in comparison to Mortal Kombat. Could be even in a podcast format, maybe even with more people. E.g. if I may list some questions: What do you like / not like about Tekken gameplay? Do you feel Okizeme is honorless hehe; Mortal Kombat vs Tekken lore. Does Tekken compare more to the 3D MKs in your opinion (probably as much as making a paper airplane vs the Space Shuttle, no?); do you prefer your Fighting Games to have projectiles; MK switched to the 1234 notation, which characters did you use to play; do you watch Tekken tournaments and do you enjoy the technical intricacies? Which game needs a better reaction time on a pro-level if that question even makes sense. And finally Balance vs broken stuff. Peace!

Please keep covering some Tekken it’s great to watch and it doesn’t get better than this channel for fighting games!

Funny with Pc how things of changed when fighting games were a rare occurrence to how now the big names come as well as the lesser known ones..back in the day I was obsessed with the doujin fighting games like melty blood

am really glad to see you guys covering this game Tekken has been one of my all time favorite series and one I got into around the same time as mk and seeing cross pollination between the communities feels really good. I really appreciated the Tekken 2 themes in the background of the video too that game has probably my favorite soundtrack out of smt of the Tekken games

I might actually get this at some point, I tried learning T7 but felt so overwhelmed cuz of how Tekken is compared to other fighting games, but it seems like they really doubled down on the learning elements in this one

2:51 That could be because of Shader Caching in real-time that's why you've felt a sudden drop. Street Fighter 6 has built-in/pre-built caching due to RE Engine. Unreal Engine 5 a jank in that department at the moment lol

I am absolutely loving Tekken 8, first Tekken game I’ve ever played but I have played Soul Calibur so I get the gist. But I wouldn’t have even picked it up if MK1 wasn’t disappointing me like it currently is. I simply don’t enjoy the grind the NRS is forcing and the excessive monetization of things that should already be a part of the game. So far with T8 I’m not feeling that grind (Probably because it’s new), it’s just pick up and play what you want. I’m also not feeling like the developers want to gouge me for skins because you can make your own palette swaps free of charge.

Only about 5 hours to go until the game unlocks! Ahh I can't wait!

Watched the whole story yesterday. Now im waiting for Tekken 9 before Tekken 8 is even released 🤔🤣

Tekken 8 is great, except you need 10 masters degrees and 6 phd to play the game at a somewhat decent level 😊.

It's unfortunate that accessibility in this game seems to be pretty basic compared to MK1 and SF6.

After spending dozens and dozens of hours in MK1 to master a few >40% combos with two characters just to find out that the obscenely difficult input timing makes it impossible to consistently land them online due to micro lag stuttering randomly, I'm just not going to buy this game if it has the same problem. That killed the game for me. If micro lag stuttering that eats inputs is simply unavoidable, then it's the devs job to balance the required input timings *around* that amount of lag, and therefore not require 1 or 2 max frame window inputs through multiple parts of the combos.

I don't want to play it for 10 more years

The biggest concern I have with Tekken 8, is that there is no benchmark test that you need to take before you can go online. I think this will hurt the online experience more than the netcode. Anytime you run into any other PC players, there's no guarantee that they're able to run the game at a stable 60 FPS as far as I know.

Not good for casual fans as myself. Hardly any single player content, story mode is lacking, and it only seems geared to online tryhard or competition. Huge L for Namco in forgetting about the biggest market.
