what does it mean to be “on counter hit”?

@@vastneon every attack in the game has a startup (time the attack needs to connect to the opponent) . a jab for example as 10 frames of startup , it impacts on the 10th frame. if you do ANY attack and you hit the opponent while he does ANY attack and is in the startup of that attack, you get a counter hit. you can set up these counter hits as well. you can do a move, that is + (plus) on block. it means you can act first after the move is blocked (very strong) , and then you do a move that covers the amount of frames fully, that you have advantage. example : fastest move in the game is 10 frames. you do a move on block that is +5 on block. you can act 5 frames earlier then your opponent. what happens if you do a move that is 14 frames fast and has the counter hit propertie (launch on counter hit) and your opponent presses jab? you get a counter hit and the counter hit propertie of your move comes into effect. that is whats called a frame trap and someone who presses into a frametrap is often called a "masher"

The df2 combo seems to be working for WS2 as well without the tip range problem for the same damage.

It's actually a blessing that Leo has so many combo routes this time around.

The input never made sense especially since it was something that required Leo to dash up. It would be like having Bryan's f,b input with a string that would be good for wall carry.

Oh no, it's still the same input for BOK. I just included the names instead of the input.

Loving the combo routes, heat system, lightning glare install and balancing so far. I think there needs to be some work overall for all characters but it's actually not bad considering there wasn't an arcade port to test and Leo never made it in the beta.

Thank you for watching! The reason it may not be connecting is because you have to do a deep crouch dash. If you input 3 too early after going into crouch dash, Leo will do a ws3 too early. It takes a bit to get used to but with enough tries, you'll start to get the rhythm.

I have an iws3 tutorial that I posted about 4 years ago on my channel. It's very difficult but you can use Leo's heat engager (2+3) to hit the opponent if you want a bigger reward than d+4,2. The damage will be scaled but at least you get a bigger reward on it.

@@Nerevaar That's to be expected unfortunately iWS3 is super difficult, I reckon until I can get it more consistent just d+4, 1+2 is plenty plus it gives ya Lightning Glare which is nice

Launcher --> 4, f+2, b+1, 1+2, D, (BOK), 1, 2, BOUND, --> Ender f+4, d/f, 2, 4 (For Pretty) b+1+2, 1+2, QCF 1+2 (For Damage) 3,4,3 (For wall) ooooh, can i also make a request for a combo vid that incorporates optimal uses for heat?

Yes, for that one, you have to make sure that you delay the ws3 after the deep dash. Doing it too soon will cause Leo to be far away from the opponent and cause the 2nd hit od BOK 1,2 to whiff.

It's gone. You can do BOK 1+2 into down 3+4 stomp for something very similar, I don't know if it's optimal now though.

I think f+2,4,df WS3, f+4,df, u+1 Tornado may work well at the side.

I have a tutorial on it on my channel. If it's too much, you can use Leo's heat engager (2+3) to continue the combo. It can only be used once but it's a great way to use Leo's heat engager if you have not gotten into heat.

Probably f+4 and cancelling it or going into full crouch for mixups. You can probably do some mixups with b+4, into cancel or into KNK if it manages to connect with the opponent.

you have to hit the ws3 the right before the opponent touches the ground. if you do it to early the f3 wont hit. the timing is a bit tricky but once you get the hang of it its easy

Which combos? Because Xiaoyu is the smallest character so most, if not all combos that would work on her would work on everyone else.

These are the easy staple ones. There are some max damage ones but they are very difficult.

Both of them you need to let the CD go reeaaaaaaly deep and near pick them up off the floor to make sure you are close enough for 1,2 and the second hit of CD2,4

I unfortunately do not. I focus on KZfaq but I will see if I can do matches here in the future.

You have to dash in pretty deep so it can connect. Wait a bit longer before doing the input. Your timing is key

df3 combo? df3 is Leo's homing move. Are you referring to df2?

If you are referring to combos that end with the 3 hit B1+2, 1+2, qcf1+2, note that the qcf+2 has a "just frame" timing for max damage. You'll know you hit it when you see blue spark effects on the final palm strike. Gets u like 3 more damage I think.

You don't necessarily need to do the last move faster, just smoothly and at the right moment. Try to input the last move just as the 2nd shoulder/back hit is coming out.@@thenoobiecuber2387

There's still KNK cancel combos but these combos in the video do a bit more

Sadly, the cancels lost most of its charm with bread and butter combos doing almost the same damage. It's only useful for moves that start off with a tornado or if you're trying to carry your opponent to the wall without a tornado.
