I used to be a hardcore Mortal Kombat and sf fan. With how mk has been going I've only been dedicated to sf and Tekken. My first street fighter was sfiv, and my first Tekken game was Tekken 7.

Namco made the right decision to go current gen only with Tekken 8. The level of detail in their character models are another level above SF6. That said I still look at SF6 and think its a good looking game and it obviously has a more stylistic look too but for me its Tekken 8.

One's running on Unreal Engine while the other is on the RE Engine. So tbh I can see what they can do in Ninth Gen Consoles can do, especially when Both Bandai & Capcom has all the resources. Only difference is Capcom uses their own engine In-House while Bandai Build Tekken 8 From the ground up while having to pay Epic to use their Engine

@@EdgyContents The part where I said "so it looks more appealing" is the only subjective part of my statement. Looking back, I should have added "to most people" instead. Objectively, Tekken 8 has better graphics. But SF has their own distinct AND consistent art style and direction. Tekken's art style and is inconsistent and all over the place relatively, but it has better graphics; everything is much more detailed (with the exception of facial animations and whatnot) especially the stages, and that's undeniable.

Actual graphics Tekken better. But I must say the SF designs are so much cooler on the whole. A lot more expressive and vibrant. Art design is fantastic because it's more stylistic. I've played Tekken far more but I know it will never have a female character as cool as Juri ever.

This is clearly subjective, everyone has their favorite. Graphic-wise, Tekken won this imo. But I can’t lie when I feel like SF6 is looking so much fun, from the way all characters has their idle animations with dialogs to colorful ending cards. It’s just scream ‘hey let’s have fun!’ to me loudly and I love it!

There's no opinion on this; both games push their graphics, but SF6 still supports the previous generation of consoles. Therefore, it makes sense that they need to tone down the graphics so it's not hard to optimize the game on previous gens. With that, T8 clearly has better graphics-wise. This is a fact, not an opinion.

They're both good graphically but for completely different reasons; Tekken 8 has aamazing environments that change as you fight through them and generally more depth to the graphic design, but characters have a MAJOR foaw of looking alike. Like... all the females in Tekken look alike. It's not as bad as before, but generic Tekken face is still an issue(with very few exceptions. Zafina and Kazuya are the ones that come to mind) SF6 meanwhile doesn't have the depth T8 graphics do, but the expressiveness of characters and general atmosphere varies wildly. Like compare the wild ways Juri's face moves as she kicks your teeth in to the cool abd calculating demeanor of Cammy. Nothing alike, it's like they're from different games. That said, I love both games and play them waaayyy too much. I just wish that King Of Fighters, one day, will reach this level.

Two completely different artstyles. SF6 still still more cartoony and while T8 is more realistic. SF6 is definitely more flashy and expressive. One critic of SF6 is that the lighting ingame is hit or miss. The game looks better in freecam. IMO not fully committing to next gen holds the game back and it should get a next gen graphical update.

Both have amazing character models, which is 1 of my favorite thing. Especially all that muscle details, texture, normal map. All those muscle deformation flexing are amazing, all hail new gen muscle fidelity 💪. That's why I love them more than mk1.

U know, Tekken 8 stages are incredible and much better detailed than SF6's. But just as I always thought, Tekken 8 faces and idle stances are so stiff and awkward and lack personality. Don't get me wrong, it's a great game in its own right. But come on bro, it ain't got nothing on SF6 main character models and animations. Just zoom in on the faces during in-game play, u can see the character faces taking deep breaths for pete sake.

So unless it’s because MK is more gory I don’t see why it shouldn’t be included. King of fighters could replace either tekken or MK, but it’s clearly lacking in popularity right now

You must not know much about fighting games if you think about replacing it Tekken 8 and Tekken 7 might have been better or more popular than street fighter 6 and 5, but SF as a whole is the more popular franchise. Same almost goes with MK. Tekken is mostly among the big 3 now from the popularity it got since tekken 7. Or else KoF might have replaced it.

All the facial expressions are stiff as hell in Tekken 8, not just the female character animations, the female characters’ are just more noticeable because of the lack of detail and fine lines on their faces, Street Fighter 6 faces look so much better and more realistic. Tekken 8 faces look like they all have on a pound of botox.

The only thing where Tekken beats Street Fighter in is graphics but Street Fighter with a better story, gameplay and character development on both genders (I think most Tekken female characters are male gaze where Anna subverts it for being seductive yet a traumatic character with hidden depths) is a literal legend

@@sky-oq5mr Each playable character has their own story than just the main story line. Ryu is still motivated to become strong. He continues to find his pathway, although he doesn’t mind when his friends visit him. Plus, he gets pretty nostalgic such as seeing the avatar for the first time because it reminds him of Sakura. Both Ken and Guile are family man but the difference is that Ken gets fucked over due to collaborating with JP and now needs to hide his cover while Guile does begin to spend time more with his family and keeping his job. Chun-Li matures where she teaches Kung fu to all ages and being a mother figure to Li-Fen while Juri is still trapped with her trauma and has nothing better to do other than seeing people in pain, herself fighting, and texting on her phone. Cammy would always continue her assignment but she gets herself more free time like spending time with her cat. Luke becomes more humble and like Chun-Li, he also teaches people of all ages to learn how to fight. Yet, the only thing he’s still childish is his rivalry with Jamie. Kimberly is searching for answers about her uncle’s death, making her the new Chun-Li, but is her own character where she got trained under Guy and combines her ninja skills with an 80s aesthetic. A.K.I. is one of the people who plans to bring Shadaloo back but for two reasons, she’s part of the new generation of Shadaloo and for her master (F.A.N.G) to praise her more due to her obsessive crush on him. Finally, JP is the new Street Fighter villain who spreads capitalism and has his supporters in Nayshall. Plus, I wasn’t drunk because I don’t drink at all. Heck, I drink water and Thai Tea for Pete’s sake

Tekken all the way, stage graphics and interactive stages, fluid gameplay movement and depth. Just my opinion, might be too old to enjoy throwing fireballs/energy balls in a fighting game.

Yes Tekken Men are allowed to age up unlike the women who get replaced, killed, or come back younger by science or magic.

Namco and Capcom and NetherRealm both offer games with high levels of graphics and gameplay The only company that I no longer like is SNK, and the reason is that in the nineties, its games were competitive with the games of other major companies, but now, with the change of the team and the manager, we are seeing games with a poor level of graphics that destroyed all our hope. We were waiting for games like King of fighters or Samurai shodown or fatal fury with high levels of graphics like street figter or tekken or mortal kombat. With modern Unreal Engine technologies, we are surprised by games with frankly bad graphics. Modern SNK ruins our favorite games.

Characters are just sexier overall in these games compared to MK. Men and women alike, but the approach to the women in particular makes MK1 stick out like a sore thumb. Such a downgrade.

I think both games are miles ahead of their predecessors. TK7 looked a little rough and so did SFV but a whole lot worse because the art style was just not good. Both games animate so well that the shortcuts they take are barely noticeable. We should be thankful that even the in-gameplay cutscenes aren’t stuck at 30 FPS which is jarring and inexcusable for any fighting game.
