I never knew about this! I always wondered how advanced/pro Kazuya players didn’t get blown up on approach when I always do. It seemed so unintuitive how wavedash is supposed to be effective when it leaves you so vulnerable. Respect to Qudans! And thanks for the video.

Really good video. I see so many Mishimas in rank who have amazing execution but just flowchart their 50 50 & never wavu cancel. This is a very important thing to know as a Mishima player.

absolutely did not know that you leave the last forward input out when doing the guard cancel. have been trying to implement the guard cancel for about a week without guidance and this whole time i thought you had to cancel the wavedash with forward input then press back to block. so is the "f n d df b" motion going to make instant ws2 easier? i can already do the instant ws2 from wavu sometimes but i need to work on my consistency. does adding the final forward before the back input mess up the ws2? im like a novice mishima player. working on my devil jin.
