Well, Shinji WAS in a strategically good position: He was a Bankai-User with a Shikai AND Bankai unkown to his opponent AND on top of that, his Weapon is Hax-Type. THE PROBLEM was that this strategic advantage was kinda negated not just by a general Power-Gap but arguably-more-importantlyly: His Opponent had also a Hax-Type. it was like a Lv 60 Water Pokemon (nothing to scoff at) battling against a Lv.80 Water-Pokemon. Tough luck.

It's funny how Bleach is a series filled with characters that have amazing hax abilities and have perfected the art of the blade for centuries, but they all play second fiddle to a highschooler flailing a sword around and occassionally shooting a beam

@@BlackangelKatakuri well we never did see much of his "true bankai" because it got broken right away like it was nothing. I know Ichigo uses it in Jump Force, but I dunno if Kubo had an actual ability planned or something and simply didn't put it to use because the manga was being cancelled. Here's hope it shows up in the light novel.

This Bankai makes no Sense, like, seriously. Or rather, the Part of everyone attacking each other is Nonsense. The Reversal of being Good OR Evil is by no means 'being an unreasonably dump Warrior'. Why would they attack each other? That's not how Reversing actually works, if you think about it. Seriously, think about it. Does it really work like that on Groups? I doubt it.

For as little impact as Shinji had in the overall series. He did actually get a hit off on Aizen, one of only a few that did. That and his attitude was always really entertaining. The super laid back shit eating grin of his always made me smile

His Bankai-Shikai actually follows the "inverted" theme. His Bankai seems to be a Shikai and his Shikai is actually his Bankai.

@@kennyljs Going Bankai doesn't mean you would automatically win the fight. If that was the case, then Ryujin Jaka, Suzumushi or any other Bankais that were used but did not yield a win would be considered senseless. What I meant was, in terms of usability, it seems as if even his Bankai and Shikai follows a theme in such a way that the functionality seems to be reversed. We know that Shikais and Bankais follow a certain theme. His happens to be reversed. His Shikai would be more useful if it was a Bankai (ie. it's particularly useful on one-on-ones, PVPs or Multiplayer vs one raid boss if you will if this was a game) while his Bankai was more useful for a PVE scenario, if again, this was an MMORPG.

Nah, his shikai gives the oponent the chance to counter it, his bankai is basically impossible to counter unless u understand its weakness, which u cant since u are being manipulated once its activated.

That's what I was thinking. Although it's not invincible in that if everyone was fighting, he might get hit and deactivate his Bankai, but he has a good chance of at least cutting their force in half.

But then you remeber just often the Espada fought within themselves and you realize his Bankai might also make them get along more. A most of them would be made to turn on Aizen, but some would be turned loyal to Aizen instead like Skeletor.

Shinji has an area of effect for his Bankai. It wouldn’t just affect the entire dimension. No bankai can do that. Sure what you said about the Espda made sense - I was thinking he could just break into the meeting room and go Bankai. But just like you guys pointed out, a lot of the Espada would probably end up getting along more.

@@jf922 Kenpachi Kuruyashiki had a bankai, which's area of effect was the size of entire seireitei. So bankais can have a very vast area of effect.

Before he releases his Bankai, Shinji gives a short spiel about "Miracles". So my guess is if the ending hadn't been rushed Shinji would've used his Bankai after Gerard knocked everybody out to turn Gerard against Yhwach. Which then would've led to Yhwach using the Auswahlen to absorb Gerard like he did, just for a more satisfying reason.

it doesn't make sense either way if it messes with your perception you cannot see your back, but if it sends you to a different dimension shinji couldnt have used it to help toshiro hit aizen, if aizen was in different dimension it's just kubo doing shit that's cool and weird, but that doesn't make sense

Yeah Bleach. My favorite Shinji moment is in the turn back the pendulum arc when he reveals Aizen and he asks Shinji how long he knew he was there and Shinji replied "since you were in your mama's womb". Wish Ukutake would of got moment was waiting for him to do something since the 3 way fight with Yama

friendly reminder that in that scene when those captains/lieutenants were fighting "aizen" and he was doing fairly decent considering how many high lvl ppl he was fighting. that was momo disguised as aizen the whole time

Woulda been really cool to see Shinji go first into the Wahrwelt, use his bankai immediately and clear out the area where all the Shinigami were about to enter. He'd be great for recon or suicide missions, although they wouldn't be suicidial I think with his bankai.

His bankai is what Aizen's bankai is speculated to be, which is the ability to make the target believe their own delusions. This is the reason why Tekking still believes he is the host of the show. Kinda fucked up of Barry if you really think about it, makes me think that Aizen and Barry are related in some way. But I don't think that Barry would let a lil bitch like Chair-sama dominate him bondage style.

Aizen's is simple (non-canon): His shikai is his "release ceremony" of an "obscuring mist" (note that NO ONE else in Bleach has a "release ceremony" for their sword. Aizen is a liar, after all.) This is the set-up for... ...his bankai: perfect hypnosis! It all fits, right?

Like they said, I find it likely Aizen was always in bankai. Or his shikai is so strong he felt his shikai was superior to even captains bankai. Yoruichi bugs me tho. We saw her zanpakuto in 1 flashback & never saw it again. Being a captain it’s assumed she had a bankai, I’d literally pay Kubo $2000 to let us know

Dam missed you tekking. Wasnt subscribed to some of my favorite channels and youtube changed months ago and i didnt even notice. My recommended is full of crap so happy i rediscovered a few favs. I just assumed you werent doing content or something.
