I like the Idea of the Motherflame being a nuke for holding back the 5 Elders. We have seen that Vegapunk doesn´t like building weapons and the only time he did create them, he was forced to do so. So I believe that the messege could end with Vegapunk explaining, that he only created this weapon in order to safe the new generation (Luffy´s Crew).

In Fish-Man Island: Shirahoshi will join the crew! In Punk Hazard: Monet will join the crew! In Dressrosa: Rebecca will join the crew! In Zou/Whole Cake: Carrot will join the crew! Clover being a D makes so much sense since he was the cause of the buster call on ohara, there being 2 Ds on ohara during the buster call really caused a storm. Clovers will was definitely inherited by Robin in the end. Continuing his research on the void century, probably the main reason Olivia and Robin became scholars was because of clover. Just living that checkered life, like all Ds do.

Clover being a D makes sense as his hairstyle is a clover and it means good luck. Ds are very lucky.

I remember a decade ago when nobody in the fandom could give two cents about finding out about Vegapunk or Kuma, but they were always two of the most interesting things in the story to me and what I couldn't wait to get answers about. I was happy to be rewarded for that this arc. Of course people would say otherwise now.

Emiths explosion is gonnna blast the strawhats directly into the middle of elbaph starting the arc immediately rapid fire arc progression

I don't know if you noticed but all the Strawhats should be together by next chapter due to the Sunny being on it's way down. If they don't do a team up, or group shot next chapter, or something epic with the iron giant and the Strawhats full crew team up. I don't really see the secret weapon just being some giant bomb, but some kind of bright influential power that renders the Gorusei weak and helpless somehow and Emeth needs Luffy's Nika power to use it. I'm thinking about some evil's bane type light based attack. Something like the Master Sword's power from the Legend of Zelda, except this is a projectile of some kind. By extension, Luffy learns a new DF ability, which would allow him to actually use the light of the sun god Nika to power this weapon through dancing or something. Later on he probably learns that he can combine it with combat.

Luffy used the Voice of All Things to talk to Law's crew, I think he will learn to do that at will with Shanks, who I think used it to talk to Greenbull. I also think the Gorosei (and Imu) all know how to use the VOAT to talk to anyone they want, just like they doing with York right now.

Theory: Emet will detonate himself. The explosion will wipe out all Marine ships too close to the island. Both Punk Records and York will be destroyed in the blast. Since she has the same genetics as Stella, Lillith will be the current user of the Nomi Nomi no Mi, and potentially just have the knowledge of Punk Records transferred to her.

Tekking, the poneglyphs remind me a lot of the memory stones from the farseer trillogy. They carved them into dragons and imbued them with their memories and personality via the telepathic skill. I bet the poneglyphs are similar, in that they were made in the same way

I think Haki and the Dream energy that makes devil fruits might be apart of a larger power of collective unconscious that used be harnessed by the Ancient Kingdom, maybe this energy can be implanted into objects and used by people to communicate, maybe it's this same energy imbued into the poneglyphs which make them unbreakable.

Well what did the newspapers said at like the beginning of the arc. There was an article talking about egghead being destroyed. Was it worded differently back than?

I’d love to hear Vegapunk give one final middle finger to the GW and say something along the lines of “ starting today, one of my other selves (or Satellites) will be in contact with the Revolutionary Army and try to help the world” and the Gorosei think that, since York is the “only one alive”, they take her out just in case. But in reality there’s another secret Vegapunk still alive that can MAYBE reconnect to Punk Records

Yes, I agree that York won’t be happy going with the Gorosei because I think the mother flame will explode (giving this arc going off with a bang) since Saturn smashed the controls & will take her to be a slave to make more solely for them & as for Lilith is the only Good Vegapunk (ironic because she it “Evil”) left is going to join the Straw Hats which I love this idea because before this arc I wanted Vegapunk to join, but I am not going to lie because I can also see her going with Kuma & Bonney to the Revolutionary Army to aid them while fixing up Kuma (which I think will send Saturn away with his Paw-Paw Fruit) & making them weapons after arriving at Elbaf

Since people are talking about the gorosei, I subscribe to the Achilles heel theory. One last connection to humanity. Emet doing something more interesting than just an explosion would be cool too, but I don't expect it.

Though it ended up better in hindsight, the Whole Cake Island “fakeout” taught me to stop looking for the end and just enjoy the ride. Before you know it, years will have passed and you’ll be shocked.

Hey Tekking! I have an idea of why the Gorosei won't chaw them to Elbaf. The idea is that since the myth of Nika comes from that Island and they actively worship him there then maybe the island has an aura that doesn't allow them through like it's a barrier or something! Or maybe there's a HUGE riot at Impel Down and it risks Doffy escaping and Imu doesn't want that so he sends the gorosei there ti apprehend him!

I'm curious how Lilith is gonna continue Vegapunk's research, maybe rebuilding the Kuma pacifista or something. I hope she doesn't get fully sidelined after the arc.

I can’t justify it but I really don’t think Emet is implying a self destruct. Especially with Atlas basically just doing that, it would feel redundant or underwhelming and also an explosion of that size would be really hard to target just the Gorosei with and not do horrendous damage to everyone else around. I could see something wild or a full transformers/gundam moment incoming that the straw hat boys would adore, or something even more unexpected than that. Who knows, can’t wait to find out

I see 3 possibilities for Lilith. 1st, she’s on the sunny and is currently allied with the strawhats so she travels with them. Maybe not join as an official member but at least stick with them for the time. 2nd, she joins the revolutionaries. Vegapunk had ties to dragon who actually wanted him to join his revolution, and with the government becoming her enem as well as the freedom fighters operation having grown, she might side with the revolution. 3rd, she goes to Karakuri island to regroup

Between all the breaks that have happened during this arc, from Oda overseeing the Netflix show, to regular sickness, and other matters, it really reflects in the action sequences of this arc. I know how it feels, of course; whenever I take long breaks from writing a story, especially if it's because of sickness, it's hard to get the right inspiration to continue it, or at least make it outstanding. Regardless, it's pretty clear that Oda didn't have the energy for action scenes this time. Starting with the obvious, we completely glossed over the Seraphim conflict. It was very promising and suspenseful, "The Straw Hats have to fight these nearly-invincible clones and CP0 is forced to team up with them! Which leads to interesting and funny teamwork dynamics!" But nope. But even past that, this whole climax sequence with the Buster Call and Five Elders felt very sloppy and rushed. I felt like several chapters ended with a cliffhanger that didn't really go anywhere by next chapter. "Sanji confronts Kizaru!" Nope, they don't fight. "The Straw Hats have to defend Robin from Saturn!" He immediately stops targeting her. And let's not forget that one page of Zoro vs. Rob Lucci, where we saw a couple tiny sword/claw clashes before they passed pointless dialogue to each other. Not that epic imagery we saw in the Zoro vs. King fight. And Luffy's whole Gear 5 weakness feels completely trivialized. In past arcs, there's always a longer period of Luffy getting depowered in the middle of his fights, but now he recovers in a heartbeat. So long as food is conveniently around, at least. Then again, it keeps the action flowing in this context, but still... And the same thing happened with Bonney just now. In Chapter 1120, she gets exhausted from her Nika form and powers down, so we think, "That was probably Bonney's last hurrah in this arc, fair enough," but in 1121, she goes Nika again! Like, why couldn't she just stay in Nika form? It just feels like Oda has trouble making up his mind at some times. Also, I feel like the Giant Warriors showing up in Egghead was pretty sudden. During the Shanks chapters, did they even foreshadow going there? I'm not too upset by this because I wanna go to Elbaf, but a little foreshadowing might've helped this. The arc was still pretty enjoyable, overall. I really liked the side stories in-between the main arc, and Kuma's flashback was definitely the greatest. All our questions about Kuma were answered with a perfect, emotional delivery.
