You know Tekking, with the Mythical Zoans, it could be that the creature themselves don't exist, but the legends instead came about from encounters with ancient people with those fruits, and then the stories being twisted a bit thru the passage of time. Kinda like the fruit made the legend rather than the legend 'causing' the fruit.

Please cover awakenings when you go over Paramecia. -Man-made Zoan fruits. Another thing that I thought up when you started talking about it: Is there a human human fruit Long-arm/long-leg/giant model? What about a mink mink fruit? And what is up with the mink men? They're already half-person/half-animal, brings up some questions regarding their origins. Also, would be cool to see some more mink men zoan users making use of their base form + zoan form making some chimera-looking forms.

Also, I'd reason to say, when it comes to the balancing out of 'weaknesses', the fruit only adds, and never detracts, meaning; When the Fruit's animal is smaller than a person, the don't shrink, but when the animal is larger, they get bigger. Same for the hybrid snake form, being warm-blooded is more beneficial, so she stays that way in the hybrid form at least.

Nice explanation as always. But I think you forgot to talk about the awakened form of the zoan fruit in this "Zoan Fruits Explanation" video ;)

I assumed/theorized that the way Zoans work, is when you first eat it the fruit basically finds out what you want and helps you achieve it. If you seek power, your hybrid form is built for power [ex. Dalton], if you want pure lethality you get speed and claws and heightened senses [ex. Lucci] but if you're Chopper and all you care about is intelligence and seeming non-threatening to make friends.. you get... an adorable chibi beby! In my mind, Chopper just wanted to be accepted.. deep down in his soul! His fruit gave him a cute and intelligent form with a cute voice, something only a monster could hate. The Hybrid form in my theory would also evolve with you and continue to suit your needs and Chopper evolved to want to become a doctor. So he named his hybrid form 'Brain Point' and his head slowly got bigger and bigger... I'm not even joking.. in my headcanon, his change in design is because his brain got bigger to suit his uses. That's just my own theory though. Also, I always figured that Chopper always reverts to his Hybrid form instead of his reindeer form under stress is because to him, that is his true form. In his soul, that is Chopper. Human enough to blend in, have useful human traits and dexterity for doctorin', but enough reindeer traits to feel like himself and feel comfortable in his own skin. I'm sure there might be some Zoans who feel more normal as an animal and maybe revert to animal form when they get knocked out. I think that the Zoans are based on change and evolution and they evolve with the user and change and adapt to whatever their will and desire is. That's why the Zoan is my favorite type of fruit, its the most versatile and interesting to me.

My thought of "hybrid" is it was an intermediate form blending their normal and zoan power similar to when logia users make only their arm elemental but their body remained normal. Everyone always talks about how a water water logia fruit would be super op. Has anyone thought about the possible existence of a whale whale fruit though? Not only would he be even bigger than Jack, he would have a massive advantage in water, which is what most of the one piece world is made of. When you do paramecia next, can you make sure to talk about Baby-5's weapon-weapon fruit. It's supposed to be a paramecia, but she can literally explode and reform her body. That kind of "healing" should only be possible with logia- or Marco's phoenix?

As stated, Zoan devil fruits can unlock forms with training, it's not a chopper only thing, for instance, Marco can do partial body transformations. The thing with chopper, is that through the rumble balls, he was able to achieve more forms faster

There is something that was always on my mind about akuma no mi. If items can have the essence of the power like a sword can become a elephant, why does the fruit itself when possessed by the essence don't transform into an animal too? If having that essence is what makes the power manifest wouldn't the fruits itself also work?

I think i read somewhere on the zoan wiki that the hybrid form of the user and the fruit combines the senses of both of them, also I think the reason the hybrid form is always so big is because it combines the mass of both species. with bigger animals significantly increasing the users size in hybrid, while smaller zoan fruit animal spirits dont increase the size that much

They were actually larger than us, and because of that, they also had a bigger brain, so it would’ve been likely that they would’ve been more intelligent than us if they had survived up until, however, their larger size also made them need to eat more food to survive, so when the ice age hit and food became more scarce, they couldn’t find enough to feed themselves and they ended up going extinct. Maybe that’s why chopper has the neanderthal sort of look, but also the massive intelligence boost, because that type of human would have a larger capacity for knowledge, and be more intelligent if they had access to what we know now, it would also give a reason for him being a lot larger than the average human aswell

The confusing part about zoan is that the user seemingly turn into animal, another lifeform itself. This gives the idea that zoan df turns user into an animal but i think that it actually gives the user the property of an animal just like luffy's gave him the property of a rubber. It may sound the same as the end result is transforming into an animal but it implies that user has control over the which property of the animal to transform into. A full transformation would turn you into the animal form but a controlled transformation leads to a wide variety of transformation that is the mixed form that we usually see when the user fight. An example is the Zoro-kaku fight where kaku a new user underwent large no. of controlled transformation that varried from long legs to long neck in order to get a perfect fighting form. Thus the idea that zoan user immediately get 3 transformation after eating a df is misinformation as the user has to experiment through controlled application of the animal property to get a mixed form. This explains why Chopper who just wanted to be loved and had no concept of fighting instinctively got a cute small form while luchi intentionally transformed into a huge torsoed mixed form which is best for fighting. This also explains Chopper numerous forms as they are just different application of the transformation of animal property. If we observe closely Chopper's different forms are basically extreme and controlled transformation of his arms or legs or even brain in Brain point. The rumble ball may have helped Chopper stay in those form as it can be assumed that it is quite difficult to retain numerous form.
