Not to mention she was very pissed at Corlys for having cheated on her + pissed at the council for throwing at her face that she should’ve finished the job when she escaped in season 1. I think that more than everything influenced in her decisions during the fight.

Yes, and also she wanted to be remembered as the Queen Who Never Ran/Fleed. Dying in the battlefied is more praised in Westeros.

She went out like a true Boss. Ill be so glad when Armond and his dragon die. Just hope its painful as hell. Rhaenys was one of my favorite characters

Daemon puts his sword through Aemon's eye which had to kill him instantly. Not much pain but Daemon had to fall to the lake from the sky so his death was worse. Maybe he lived? They never found his body as far as I know.

Meleys was exhausted when Daemon proposed Caraxes and Meleys jump Vhagar. She had been flying for hundreds of miles. Also they would've destroyed Kings Landing if they had descended with their dragons. Sure they may have killed Vhagar but they'd have no body to rule. There's also the off chance that Vhagar wasn't even in Kings Landing leading to everyone in the realm to despise Rhaenyra for no reason.

Rhaenys deserves the title of Queen she displayed power and grace even in death … her fight was 10/10 even though she met her end

The reason Rheanys didnt run and tried to end Aemond is because of her guilt for not stopping the war before it began. She couldve killed the Greens, saving Luke, saving thousands from dying in war. Shes there at a battlefield where hundreds are dying all because she hesitated. Sunfyre and Aegon were done all shed need is to take out Vhagar to attone for what she did. I do think she was trying to fly away back to Dragonstone when Vhagar surprise attacked.

I think Rhaenyra would be upset if all the greens are suddenly killed, and also the consequences of distrust from other houses. Killing your blood has consequences, honestly.

@@hansellancephilippe4075 I agree immensely Rhaenyra woulda been pissed but that doesnt stop Rheanys from feeling guilty over Luke especially with Daemon throwing it in her face. So I really think this was an attempt to make everything right on her end but that last look between Rheanys and Meleys was a look of regret I think Rheanys understands what she did was a bit foolish and now it's cost Meleys her life.

@@PikachuRaichu-es8mk GRRM said that if Vhagar didn't surprise attack Meleys she actually stood a very good chance at taking her down. But yea definitely in most scenarios Vhagar would win or both dragons would be killed.

@@mohammedyusuf9631no she's determind to at least injure however she can, she knew she already did damage when Vhagar fell to the ground, so that's why she never fleed, bc it's the perfect moment when Vhagar is still wounded.

She wanted to win. All she needed to do was take Aemon out and Vhagar would have no rider. Killing Vhagar would be difficult but her dragon was much faster. She could have used her speed to get behind Vhagar and cook Aemon. She just wasn't the best rider to not think of that.

I mean Meleys is the fastest dragon throughout all of history on top of having battle experience of course she stood a chance it’s stated in books to she has best chance at killing vhagar but not much she can do bout getting blindsided by a dragon big an strong enough to crush your throat

It was a very rash decision on part of Rhaenys. In that battle disabling sunfyre and aegonII was victory enough.

Corly's already disrespected Rhaenys - it would be pitiful for him to not support her vision but he has proved himself to be weak. Armond needs to go - then his dragon can go back to the blacks where she belongs.

The old lady literally killed herself, the thing that don’t make sense in the scene why she let vhagar and almond live, because they fell all the way to the ground that doesn’t mean they died just like that, lazy writing that’s all m, this is like shooting a lion using a crossbow with only 1 arrow and then approach empty handed 😂

Im pretty sure the reason she turned back to fight Vhagar after Sunfyre is because she was feeling guilt for not killing them on the coronation. Dumb changes to the books i know but it makes sence.
