This is my first telescope and I'm happy to say that it's a keeper. Watch as I fumble my way through a relatively unrehearsed look at this great $200 entry telescope from Orion.

Tip look for radio knobs to replace the long janky ones also with better eyepieces you are gonna have to figure out how to add an extra weight to the bottom

Thanks. I did replace the original knobs for the slo-mo controls. And the tripod is pretty light, so I agree that weighing it down would be a great idea.

@@thegreenstargazer not just tripod but with mine I got a decent eyepiece nothing wild and a laser and it wouldn't balance

I have the tabletop version of that scope. I use a 40mm eyepiece as a finder scope. I get in the general location with the red dot and follow up with the 40mm. It gives 11X power and a FOV of around 4° if I remember correctly. Does your starblast say 113mm aperture or 114mm? Seems there are some that say both. Mine is 113mm.

Do you need to buy a collomation lense for this?

No. It comes with a collimation cap (not a lens) and the instructions help walk you through the initial setup. I had never collimated a scope before and found the process pretty easy.
