The Larson Electronics LM-VLD-WM-18-7-4S-ALU-BM fold over 4-stage light mast winches provides a safe and effective way for operators to quickly deploy lights, security cameras and other equipment to elevations up to 18 feet. This light tower, which collapses to 7 feet, features a removable mast head for storing mounted equipment when not in use. The unit takes on a natural finish and features two surface mount brackets for improved stability.
This telescoping four stage aluminum light mast from Larson Electronics is designed to allow operators to quickly and safely deploy lighting, cameras, and other electrical equipment in locations where this equipment must be elevated to heights up to 18` for effective coverage. This light boom can be extended to for maximum area coverage and collapsed to 7` for applications where a smaller footprint is required. The tower is constructed of square aluminum tubing with a base stage 66" in length and 4" x 4" x 1/8", second stage 69.75" in length and 3" x 3" x 1/8", third stage 73.5" in length and 2" x 2" x 1/8", and a fourth stage 78.5" in length and 1" x 1" x 1/8". Each section has a 2` minimum overlap. The mast is elevated by pressing down on the end of base stage, elevating the mast into the upright position. The mast is extended to its full height using an included 1,000 lb hand winch with 3/16" galvanized cable.
The LM series of towers are powder coated with glossy blue finish for corrosion resistance and aesthetics (this model takes on a bare metal, natural finish). This light mast is mounted via the two surface mounting brackets found near the bottom of the tower. Each mounting bracket accepts four bolts. With two mounting brackets used to secure the light tower, operators are left with a stable and durable light tower. A 1.5" x 1.5" x 1/8" T-head mounting plate is attached to the upper section of the mast which provides a strong and stable platform for equipment.
The LM family of telescoping towers feature a proprietary mast guidance system, which provides increased stability during high winds. When lowered to 7`, the mast can withstand winds up to 75 mph.
This light tower weighs approximately 105 lbs and can easily support and lift 25 lbs fixtures. The entire tower assembly is shipped via common freight carrier and when shipped measures approximately 8` long, 4` wide, 5` tall and weighs approximately 375 lb. Larson Electronics can custom tailor these units to the customer`s requirements with longer sections and larger mounting plates. We also offer a choice of either the manual 1,000 lb hand winch included standard or optional electric winch.
Suggested Applications: Temporary lighting, construction sites, and security camera deployment. We can equip this mast with 1000W or 1500W Metal Halide lights or a wide variety of high powered LED lights with comparable power, including the LED10WSA-160, LEDLB-200X2E , LEDLB-160X2E or LEDLB-80x2E.
