I used to hear this all the time when I first started to listen to the mixes on WBMX in Chicago, late 84'/early 85'. I had no idea it was from 1979! It sounded a lot like what was out at the time.

La ventaja que tiene la musica de estas epocas 70/80/90. Es que dejan clasicos que hasta el dia de hoy perduran y se recuerdan. La basura de hoy,dentro de 5 o 10 años,nadie las va a recordar siquiera.

La escuché primero en radio Novisima en el dial AM. Ganó al tema del año, elegida por los radio escuchas que pedían 30 minutos de canciones a la radio. Este fue el tema que mas se repitió ese año. Lo recuerdo bien, hasta recuerdo el jingle de la radio, " Radio novisima es siempre tuya, recuérdalo, tuya...tuyaaa"

Going to sound weird but this song was very popular in 1984 in Whittier, California and surrounding areas (East LA). Disco was big in LA county in the 80s. This song used to bring all the Mexican honies to the dance floor.

Soy un privilegiado de haber vivido la mejor década de la música de Todos los tiempos donde Hasta los malitos eran buenos . década de los 70 no hay ni habrá otra década como esta insuperable.donde los grupos , bandas solistas ,sacaban un tema bueno y después venía otro mejor eran una fuente inagotable de creación los 70 lo máximo ,

Uma estranha maneira de olhar para a história da música. Lamento estragar o sonho de quem afirma que esta ou aquela década foi a melhor, pois todos os anos há bons discos, embora nem todos os dias haja movimentos musicais capazes de mudar a história. Lendo o que foi dito nos vários comentários (70; 80; 90), deixam logo de lado os primeiros discos do Leonard Cohen, o Jimi Hendrix, o Pet Sounds (Beach Boys), o The Velvet Underground and Nico (Velvet Underground), o Younger Than Yesterday (The Byrds), os melhores discos dos Jefferson Airplane ou o Forever Changes (Love), todos dos anos 60... E podia acrescentar centenas de discos dos anos 90 para a frente. Além disso, os Telex estavam muito longe de ser a coisa mais excitante a acontecer na viragem dos anos 70 para os 80...

La redescubri hace poco, cuando de casualidad la pasaban por una radio y me refrescó la memoria. Recuerdo haberla escuchado en la casa de un primo en el 88 y tenía 16 años. Me partió la cabeza, pero ni idea de quiénes eran estos tipos

Es un viaje muy agradable al pasado escuchar este temazo, me hace volver al 1979 ya al final de maravilloso mundo del disco cuando nos preparábamos con incertidumbre a esperar los años 80s, pensábamos que iba a ser otra época maravillosa para este ritmo pero no fue así , llegó el new wave y todo cambio. Pero aún en los 80s seguí poniendo mi disco de 45 con este tema.

Corria el año 1979 por las riveras del rio nazas donde acampabamos en unas vacaciones de verano en pleno verano el novio de una vecina tenia una grabadora y puso este tema en un cassette x supuesto le sigio scottmacine de voyage y otras que emocion escuchar x las riveras de este gran rio en la comarca lagunera disfrutando esas vacaciones de ahi mas me gusto la musica ay ya no volveran esas visitas al rio con esa musica con una grabadora como las disfute esas vacaciones 😔♥️😊
