Meowcenary, the best thing I've found from an ad is the song Sunset of Cruelty by PORN. Seriously, there is a band called PORN, though I shouldn't be suprised, WASP has many names thanks to the fans. Most of them... less than advertiser friendly. Anyway, PORN is an amazing industrial/hard rock band.

Tl;dr: It's called a "key change." In music theory, there are scales/keys like C major, E flat minor, etc. that basically tell the main tones used in the part of the song in that key. So the key of C major ("or the C Major Scale") uses the notes "C D E F G A B" and D minor uses the notes "D E F G A B♭ C" (notice "B" is now "B flat", or the black key below "B" on a piano. This means you most likely won't hear "B" in a song in the key of D minor.) When a song transposes a melody from earlier in the song from one key to another (usually higher up the keyboard or whatever instrument) it creates that awesome, chill-inducing feeling. I don't know why this is exactly, but it's probably just how our ears work.

Which might be my problem a bit because I don't like Amaranthe very much. But then, I also think that the three voices of Temperance are much better than those of Amaranthe. Especially Alessia beats Elize Ryd every time of the day. But just for the record: this is a great song, it's just that I like the style of "Of Jupiter and Moons" just that bit more.

i mean every power metal album needs a ballad or two, and for ballads, this is honestly one of the most enjoyable ones.

Really?? ojam is almost my least favorite of the album. Cheesey chorus and the "Babylon" part... can't stand biblical anything.
