Morons comparing this to Tame Impala, as if Psych rock is a one dimensional affair. You have the bands that utilises the special effects or pedals to create the psych sound, those who uses unconventional scales such as phrygian dominant or mixolydian mode into their guitar lines and those who are able to create weird chord progressions. I don't hear any similarities between the 2 bands, could be pure fanboyism that's unwilling to accept that there's a band as good as Tame Impala coming onto the scene.

I am not a big Tame Impala fan but this guys are not that good. They are clearly very structured in how to make their songs, they haven't brought anything new to the table so far and there's rarely a song of theirs that doesn't have the same emotional tone. For a band that uses the psychedelic rock genre that is all about not following the rules, they sure do follow a stale pattern

@@Themonkeymartin The mix in this isn't that great, though. If you go to their KEXP performances, they're way better than this. Most of the reverb for Temples comes from the instruments and background vocals. Thomas' vocals are way too dry and close.

He is very talented, the music he coming out with with complex progressions and melodies are very much to be noted of. I said That comment based on his appearance but he does take influences from both i believe
