I think with permed hair I'd rather they shuka a full matuta to avoid crocheting open already frail permed hair. Is this done?

Well yes that's optional.. I personally have not found any beneficial difference when we undo between on hair that was braided or twisted vs hair that was installed as it is.

Whenever I put my hair bun,up like yours..esp when sleeping or working out,I often feel abit of tension,does it mean when I undo it will come of with hair like braid do?

Hi.. most likely that means your holding it too tightly.. and that may cause the hair to break from the follicle...which may fall off when you undo ..try holding the hair in a very loose bun or loosen the braids around the perimeter of the head..

I just want to make sure I understood you. The mixture is lavender and peppermint essential oils with the styling dredz? Also my hair is relaxed but not since July 2021. I have more than 2" new growth. i plan to get temporary locs Feb. 10 2022. I never have had temp or perm dreads. I'm thinking I would only keep them in 2 months. but if they are looking good still I will continue. What do you suggest with relaxed hair. I don't like alot of hair or long hair. You said avoid skinny locs right? Thank you for any guidance.

Hi.. you can opt to use the essential oil mixture and the locs spray mixed together or alternatively... The essential oils Don't necessarily need to be the exact one I used because it depends with what your hair and scalp needs are . .. for dandruff prone oily scalp . Using the essential oils (peppermint, tea tree,rosemary et) would be the ideal . #you could add two table spoons of the styling dreads spray rather than using the spary directly since it has a lot of glycerin which may cause build up . Dry scalp types can get away with using the styling dreads almost daily alone (without diluting) as long as they shampoo weekly or after 9 days (what works for you). For the duration.. you can do 5 months at most for relaxed hair.. 2 months is still good because yo can always reuse the locs incase they're still okay (optional)

Depending on your hair density , thickness and curl pattern.. I'd say max 5 months

Hey not all oil will cause buildup Unless you're using very heavy oils.m penetrative oils like argan, sweet almond will not cause buildup.. you can opt for those.
