My Dad was a carpenter/general contractor his whole career, and my hubs is a superintendent for a general contracting company. 🙂 So, I've definitely learned how to do a few things with wood over the years. 🙂💜 I can actually do some basic skills in a lot of construction areas. Electrical (hubs was an electrician before he took the position he has now), plumbing, framing, etc. Very, very basic skills, though. 😅💜 I even helped the hubs build a couple of cars! 😁 Ok, that might be a stretch.. 😅 I assisted him on various parts of those builds over the years. But I can still do all the basics with a vehicle, too. I can change a tire, spark plugs, my oil, battery, all the fluids, and brakes, etc. And I'm ok-ish with crafts. I do better with some than others... but this handle isn't wood. ☹️ It's like an acrylic or something similar to that. And I don't have a clue how to work with it. I tried regular super glue and gorilla glue. But I got the wrong gorilla glue, so neither of those worked. Idk if there's a specific type of glue for acrylic materials or not. But I'm definitely struggling to fix this one. 🤦‍♀️☹️

But, I've found that it's not NEARLY as frustrating if it's not crammed full. So, if I only pack it up around 2/3 full then it doesn't really bother me bc my hand has room at the top to get in there and move things around to find what I want.. if that makes sense. But if it's full, then it's a nightmare. 🤦‍♀️ Oh, and yeah my phone totally fits! 😊 I can even get a full size continental wallet in there if I wanted to.. I wouldn't advice for obvious reasons 😅, but it can be done if you want to. Anything that's longer, like our phones, just goes in easier if you turn it to an angle as you put it in and take it out. Well, I thought about that, but this one doesn't feel like a regular wooden lip liner that you'd sharpen. It feels like it's plastic, so that definitely makes me hesitant, you know what I mean? 😬 And it looks like a regular Liner that you'd roll up because it has the small gap around the edges between the Liner itself and the plastic shell. I'll just be honest with you, though.. I really don't know much about makeup, so I might just be overlooking something really obvious. I have no idea! 🤷‍♀️😅 Thank you for the suggestion! Whenever the product at the top runs out and I can't use it any more, I may try the sharpener just to see. It absolutely could be seen as fast fashion. I certainly wouldn't argue that. But, I think that fast fashion can be utilized in a "not as harmful" manner. This comment will probably be long and rambling, so I apologize ahead of time. 😅 But, try to give me a bit of grace and hear me out. I'm always open to any conversation as long as both sides can be respectful. 🙂 So here's my outlook on it... I know that fast fashion is very harmful in a lot of ways. But we, as a society on the whole, have pushed our markets to this point. Now, I don't know that we can turn it around and stop it, regardless of how many people protest it or refuse to buy it, because there will always be a large group of folks that will buy from these platforms. And I say that because there are SO many people in the world that are on a budget where marketplaces such as Temu, Shein, etc., are the only places they can really afford to buy from. And then there are people that just like to try and save money when they can. Id put myself in the latter category. So I try to be realistic when I look at this issue. And the only thing I know to do (from the standpoint of having my channel) is give my opinion on if it's worth the price tag or not. To help people make a more informed decision on what they're buying based on quality vs. price, ya know what I mean? That's why I'm brutally honest in what I say, like whether something is decent quality or not. Because I won't get on here and tell yall that everything is great just because it's inexpensive. I think I mentioned it in this video, but to me, cheap doesn't always mean it's worth it. I still feel like, even though it's more of a fast fashion marketplace, that we shouldn't buy just to buy. I fully admit that I purchase way too many handbags..😅🤦‍♀️ they're my weakness and I collect them. But, in other categories, I still try to purchase with purpose. I buy things that I still would've purchased somewhere. And then I get on here and make the video of the products I've bought and give my opinion on if it was worth it or not. I don't buy anything with the thought that I'll only get a couple of uses out of it before I have to throw it away... so, even on Temu, I still try to pick items that I believe look to be good enough quality to last me for a while. I never look at it like, "its cheap, so if i have to throw it away it doesnt matter". Definitely not. And I think that's one of the biggest issues with fast fashion... the abundance of excess waste that we get from it. So I feel like I try to help people know if it is trash ahead of time so they aren't wasting their money and adding more garbage to the landfills. So, I guess what I'm trying to say is that these kind of fast fashion platforms are going to be here whether I'm talking about them or not. So, in my mind, if we just try to utilize them in moderation and we don't go overboard (which I will admit here, too, that I have gone a bit overboard, but I've slowed way down now and I'm being much more selective and mindful of what I'm buying) then they have their place within society. There are absolutely less harmful retailers to shop with, but folks on a tight budget aren't worrying about what impact fast fashion is going to have. So, if I can help them make better, more informed, choices when they are shopping then I'm OK with that. 🙂 I have no idea if I was able to really explain myself, or communicate my thoughts very well... or if this was just a rambling mess like I feel like it was. 😅🤦‍♀️ But, I tried to give my point of view on the topic. 🙂 I'm not perfect by any means, and I make mistakes all the time. But I'll always do my best to be honest and give my point of view to the best of my ability. And like I said, I'm always open to respectful conversation and debate, so please feel free to write back and chat with me about this topic. 🙂 I take no offense, and I sincerely hope I haven't offended you, either. 💜 But, yeah, feel free to keep this conversation going with me, or anyone else that wants to jump in. I’m genuinely not dissing you I’m just thinking especially with environmental and economical issues the world is currently facing it’s good to promote conscious purchasing. I myself am massively downsizing and trying to make purchasing choices of things I need as opposed to want. I’m not making impulse purchases anymore, I still enjoy browsing and have got into the habit of adding to basket then sleeping on it, thinking do I need it or does something I already own fit the purpose. The majority of the time I then go back to the basket and delete. I’m genuinely not judging anyone and definitely I totally understand where you are coming from but I think influencers definitely encourage people to spend as opposed to perhaps take time to really debate whether the money would be better spent elsewhere or even not spent at all. There are always thrift stores where you are reusing as opposed to buying poor quality goods that will end up in a landfill. Just my opinion of course, each to their own, adult to adult in healthy conversation 😊💕💕 Have a wonderful week 😊💕

Not so much now, but definitely when I first started buying from them. I try very hard to make a conscious effort to really think over my purchases now before I make them. It still doesn't always keep me from buying things I don't need 🤦‍♀️😅, but I'm trying. 🙂 I suppose I just try to be as optimistic about my role in all of this as I can... if that makes sense? Like I mentioned in my first comment, I just try to see my part in all of this as, "helping folks make better decisions". So I purchase the items, try them out, do my reviews, and hopefully my audience gains a better understanding of the quality/value of items they might be considering buying. I try to see it from the angle of helping people avoid the junk and (hopefully) steer them toward better quality items that will last and be used instead of ending up in the landfill. 🙂 To play devils advocate, I could also be seen as encouraging people to buy unnecessary items that they never would've been interested in had they not seen them in one of my videos. 😬 I can see that side of it, too. ☹️ So I can absolutely see your point of view, and I do agree with you about most of it. 😊 But my downfall is that I know I will continue to buy things because I enjoy the hunt. Looking for the best deal on an item that still seems to be good quality and will last me. I am going to continue to try and be more mindful of my purchases, however. And that's definitely a positive step for me! 🥰 I will try not to fall into the over consumption trap too much, though it may still happen. 😬 So I know I'm repeating myself 😅🤦‍♀️ but, I'm sure I will continue to have an optimistic outlook on all of this and my role in it with my channel. I’m 55 now, soon to be 56 eek, I have a progressive neurological condition and am planning on downsizing my home in the next couple of years to a nice manageable size. I want less clutter, physically and emotionally but trust me I’ve definitely loved consumption over the years especially handbags, I’ve always loved them. I guess I’ve reached a point where a peaceful clutter free life is very appealing but I definitely understand the thrill of the chase for a bargain.
