The front piece that drops down near the grone is designed to hold a bullet proof insert similarly to a standard cops vest. It was designed to protect your balls from getting blown off or from shrapnel. I'm an Iraq war vet and that's what was on our plate carriers. Most guys took it off and added it to the non-dominant shooting hand side in the rib area. This area is more exposed in prone or your standard fighting position so it would add alittle extra layer to an exposed area. Thx for sharing. Doesn't look like a bad piece of kit

It may not look bad, but trust me when I say it is. I got a yakeda vest as my first plate carrier. Didnt realize how bad it was til I bought crye precision JPC and AVS. It hangs incredibly loose, it also pretty much glows under night vision. Its also hanging really low on him as you can see in the video.

I managed to find one in A-TACS FG camo and its on the way. I was close to just getting one custom made but was hesitant due to the price, but Yakeda has one. This review makes me feel a little better about it, I'm looking forward to seeing it. A-TACS FG camo is perfect for my area for 90% of the year so that was a huge find for me. Great review, I would recommend adjusting your carrier a little bit though so that your plate is higher up on your chest and actually covering your vitals. The sides should be level and not slanted forward. It feels kind of awkward at first but those plates aren't doing you any good if your whole chest is uncovered.

The only problem I have with yakeda is if you get multicam stuff, it can come in lighter shades or the nice regular dark color of ocp or multicam

cool setup. i got the full multicam gear also. helmet with a mask that is crazy sick. it was the coolest one i have seen yet. i will do a video on it one of these days. so many videos so little time lol

@@tacticaltray4907 i live in illinois now. i moved back to here 3 years ago. but before that i lived in the mt hood national forest. in oregon. i worked for the lodge in the movie the shining. i am not sure if you know the stephen king movie. but i was a snowboarder and a chef there. a mgr etc. but i started my videos just on snowboarding and ninja and samurai martial arts i do. then later in life i started to show my bmx videos of me riding bmx etc. i am over 30 but i still throw down on a bmx bike. tailwhips and all. in my videos. but in oregon i did 200 or so ninja and samurai training videos in the mountains. in samurai armor on horseback. every weapon. ninja gear. stealth swimming in lakes on volcanoes. etc. every weapon. staff. sword. shuriken etc. blinding powders. but then many years ago i started getting into tactical gear. airsoft. real guns. survival. prepping. so then i started making rafting videos. fishing. mushroom hunting. edible foods. berry picking. hiking. mre reviews. knife reviews. camping. snowshoeing. videos like. so now that i am back in illinois i dont have a place like that. heck i could go around town in full military gear. tactical vest. or ninja outfit. no one cared. as i would load my rig with camera gear. armor. or guns or archery gear and be in army gear with a machete on my side or whatever. no one cared. it is oregon. and i lived in the national forest. a block from trials. that went from canada to mexico. here i cant get away with it. running around like that. as i could get done with a video and go in a grocery store. tactical vest still on. didnt matter. it was in the middle of know were. a town of 150 people. all mt folk. now that i am in illinois. i do more concerts. bmx videos. race cars. monster trucks. horror videos. haunted houses. roller coasters. and random stuff but i still do some punching bag videos and this year i will get back into making more martial arts videos etc. but i just got all new mulitcam stuff but in my videos you see me in all tiger stripe or all digi cam etc. or woodland etc. and in a forest that looks like first blood. if you go back a few years. real guns doing mag drills in gas masks. all kinds of stuff. i got videos where i got to work with rob oneill the seal who took out bin laden from seal team 6. i got videos of me and him working an event with dog the bounty hunter etc. so i do all kinds of wild videos. peace bro. happy new year.

I grabbed a carrier from temu and put ar500 plates in it. Works nice. Had to make some minor adjustments to the shoulder straps so it sits higher and covers better. Other than that, decent gear.

Need to tighten it up so the plate covers all of your thorax. I’m not sure what you’re using this for but if you plan on running actual plates in it you’ll need to tighten it up so it sits higher

A Plate carrier is a plate carrier, when it comes to protection what really matters is the actual plate you insert
