Its a corrupting influence that rubs off on the next crop of players coming in. The heart of that squad needs ripping out or it will continue to be a corrupting influence. And as usual the Glazers and execs (at those times) very much to blame ; they continually backed the players , sacked gaffer after gaffer without proper squad clear-outs and emboldened player power to ridiculous levels in the process.

For me, better off leaving ETH where he is, see his final year out (if it goes well United have the option to extend his contract by another year), if it goes wrong, then get someone else in. Who knows by then, there may be a larger number of decent candidates for the job.

Be a miracle if you finish above Chelsea or Newcastle because those teams have run into form. You might not like the Glazers but I know Ineos. I have worked with them and dealt with some senior people there. They are terrible. They will milk you for money like you have never seen. They are the worst kind of exploiters and asset strippers.
