I think ten hag will leave. Because one thing united can’t do is offer him a new contract. So, that would mean coming back as a lame duck coach in the last year of his contract. And that never goes well. And it certainly won’t go well with this set of players.

One thing i think no one can dispute is that ETH has been disrespected by the media his entire tenure at United. Stories like this, some of the questions he's faced, some of the interviews he's had to sit through. The club needs to do better.

You are right, but shouldn't the process be more advanced to start thinking of that? I mean Omar Berrada hasn't positioned yet. And Dan Ashworth the sporting director isn't here either. So M.Utd are going to fire the manager and there is still no plan in place, or at least the people who should be responsible for making that plan and executing it aren't here yet. Management and coaching are two distinct skill sets. In the NFL the coach decides the style of play. The GM oversees putting together a squad. Brighton may have a certain style of play. But Potter and De Zerbi had distinct approaches. I can assure you that whoever comes after Pep at Man U will not play the same boring football. So, coaches are not puppets.

The problem with Man U is they've needed a complete clear out and rebuild for 5-10 years and they've still not done it after what 5 managers. Every time the new manager comes in they seem to keep most of the squad.. is this because they simply can't get rid of them or is it because they're failing at building their squad? Or is it because the board is pulling the strings and saying "we won't get rid of X player because we paid a lot for them and won't be able to recoup"?

Why would you want to keep Ten Hag? Chelsea finished above us and qualified for the Europa League but Pochettino still got sacked. Ten Had had a terrible second season and better managers are available. Ineos was always gonna bring their own guy who fits their vision. Ten Hag’s job this season just made their decision easier.

The guesswork points to ETH leaving. As you have noted, the FA Cup should have no bearing on the decision. Given this, the earlier INEOS communicates to ETH his fate the better for all concerned. If he were staying it would make sense to announce it before the FA Cup. The silence seems to indicate that he has been sacked. I assume ETH has been told this.

Poch is a better manager than ETH yes not won many silverware but poch has proved his worth a lot more than ETH the guy who was in the Dutch league and then brought oh how many of his players over and they do not stand a chance in the premier league. They tried one time against spurs and never did it again because they aren’t up for it. These players have survived Jose and ole, ragnick and Ronaldo calling out these players attitudes. 3rd with a carabao cup and now a FA cup final in his first two years despite all the issues. He hasn’t been given a proper chance

@@eelhSehT as I've said ..you never give why ETH should be given another season but you give excusess..LVG also had injuries he still had a style of play..with academy players..ange poste at Tottenham..first months still had a style of play with injuries so I'm sorry ..ETH is not good enough last season he didn't have a style of play and didn't have injury issues ..you're very blind my friend..as for the players I've always said ETH out plus half the players no one is getting spared

The journalist might be wrong but what isn't that ten hag will be sacked after city game , if you look back at how the glazers work is .. if they don't get top 4 , they sack a manager , i dont care if he stays or goes but we have to be in top 4 next season , this season Was embarrassing. If the veto is in his contract, and if he’s made it known that he wants the same in any new contract. Perhaps Ineos have said they can’t do that. So they will either need to let his contract run down for the remaining year or pay him off to go. ? But I think it’s all speculation anyway and not what we need before the FA cup final.
