United have now not won a match inside 90 minutes since the beginning of March, against Everton. Sheffield United, meanwhile, set a record for the most goals conceded at home in a Premier League season when they conceded four against Burnley on Saturday to bring the total to 51. Sheffield are now without a win in nine matches and sit nine points from safety. Here is my tactical preview...

This is, I think maybe factually, the most unpredictable predictable team I've ever watched. We watch them, week in, week out, make the same mistakes over and over again. We watch Højlund get no service, and Antony do the exact same trick, and Sauce make sure he isn't available, and Maguire take 72 touches and put his arms out before he passes, and the list goes on. And through all of that, we love our United; support them through all of it. So maybe... juuuuust maybe... this is the match we get to watch and enjoy. Maybe there's This One Match this season that we, as supporters, get to watch and enjoy the beautiful game as something beautiful. Maybe Bruno starts next to Mainoo, and Eriksen starts in the 10. Maybe Amad starts on the right, and Harry Amass makes his debut. Maybe Forson scores a goal, and Harry Maguire makes a one-touch pass. Okay, maybe not the last one, but... Maybe this is it. United 4 - 0 Sheffield C'mon, lads. Get at em.

If I'm not mistaken, eTH had Antony playing LB against Liverpool very briefly and he did not want to stay back to defend. I actually think Dalot would do a better job at CB than AWB, but he offers more going forward. Would love to see Harry Amass given a chance to play, seeing as he's an actual LB... It's almost a given that Antony will start at RW ahead of Amad 🤦🏻‍♂️

I like the idea of shifting Wan-Bissaka to centre-half to slowly integrate Amass into the team. I believe starting that against Sheffield is the perfect game to do so

13:50 thats the build up i want to see next season, just with Todibo and Inacio at cb and Martinez as your inverting left back. I think one of the tactical things we've seen ten hag do this season that's actually worked (on the rare occasions he's done it) is dalot inverting in the build up.

Look at that projected starting 11. Maguire, Casemiro at CB, and McTominay in midfield, yet ETH is under a microscope. It's unfortunate that Rashford is injured because I wanted to hear your thoughts on him. He is lucky that the team is underperforming as a whole and Antony remains in the media spotlight because he wasn't much better over the weekend. No one talks about it.

Have you watched what Bologna do with their CBs? I thought of that while you were talking about Wilder. Motta's CBs actually do get all the way up the pitch. I kept having to check that Calafiori was a CB and not a winger or attacking midfielder for the positions he kept ending up in. Fun style of play to watch

Ten Hag should play 4 or 5 of the young guys for the remaining games. Drop Rashford and Antony and a couple more. What’s the worst that can happen ? The team as it stands won’t win anything. They have no chance of playing in Europe next year so let’s have a look at the future. Show the young lads that The Club has faith in them and let them play.

Sheffield United drew away to Villa and were close to claiming a draw recently in Anfield. Last Old Trafford meeting against Sheffield United was in Jan 2021 with 2nd place Man United against bottom of the table Sheffield United winning 2-1 and they were managed then as they are now by Chris Wilder and since then he was manager of Middlesbrough as they knocked Man United out of the FA Cup on penalties in Old Trafford.

You look at Casemiro and Maguire who are known for defending and actually they’re absolute liabilities on defense. To be fair Maguire has been ok but still a liability. aWB seems like he’s gonna give a penalty away every other game which negates everything else positive and isn’t great on the ball. Mainoo is kind of slow so can’t recover. So 3 people in the base of our team when in possession are too slow to recover when we lose the ball and we wonder why we get lit up on transition 🤦‍♂️ if your biggest worry is Antony playing I think we are missing whats actually happened this season which is a team that cannot keep the ball under pressure and cannot defend when they lose it because of lack of effort, pace or strength.

Amad in front of Bruno, seems creative. Could work well. Amad can rotate ball fast. Help in possession for longer durations. But Antony should be kept out. Get Forson in is required.

Ste, all great ideas, but he wont do that will he. He'll play the predictable 4-2-3-1, he'll leave Casemiro & Maguire short of pace, he'll press high up the pitch leaving gaping holes in the midfield and he'll play Antony instead of Amad and we'll struggle again like we do in every game, AND even if we get a lead, expect us to concede late and hang on for dare life

Recently ive made the theory man united has a really toxic atmosphere inside de club and thats why we have had all these players who were good but then the start to play bad once thay arrive. Maguire, Di Maria, Alexis Sanchez, Falcao, Sancho, Donny Van de Beek. Also remember the inconsistent players we have, but theu looked good at once. And lets remember Van Gaal, Mourinho and Erik had good reputation before man united but they looked like bad managers once they come. This club turns good players and coaches into bad ones. I think this has being happen all this years. And we call it "player power"

After going 4-0 up on 75 mins a long range shot hits Harry Maguire on his backside and wrong sides Onana. A shot from two yards bounces up from Maguires knee and hits Bissaka on the hand,ref points to the spot and VAR agree 4-2. 86th minute VAR tell the referee that they've seen Casemiro grab a shirt collar in the penalty area,ref gives a pen ,yellow cards Casemiro then red cards him for dissent. 4-3....final score

You could even play properly. Leave defenders to defend. Then they don't have to run back. Use fast wingers that cross the ball. Not the selfish idiots we have that just keep running until they hit something. Load the midfield to provide defence and attack opportunities. And a goal poacher in the middle. Or two. Those were the days. Try that now and no-one would know what to do with it. My favourite players to watch used to be wingers. Man Utd have had some great ones. No more unfortunately. Wing backs. Casimiro needs to be benched. He has been awful in midfield and a liability and defense outside of that one fantastic ball to Marcus in the semifinal, he is offered very little to help the team.
