He's one of the club's most decorated players, and on Thursday night, Shawn Redhage will play his 300th game for the Perth Wildcats.
Redhage captained the Wildcats 2010 Championship team and was a vice captain when they defeated the 36ers for a record sixth Championship in April this year.
He was named the Gordon Ellis Medalist as Perth Wildcats MVP in 2006, 2007, 2008, 2009, 2010 and 2011.
Redhage is in his 10th season at the Perth Wildcats.
Over his career he averages an impressive 17.1 points per game, and can still dominate a game - averaging the third highest points tally for the Wildcats with 11.6 per game, spending more than 23 minutes per game on the court.
He has scored 5,176 career points - fourth on the Wildcats all time leader board behind Ricky Grace, James Crawford and Andrew Vlahov, and dished out 887 assists - trailing only Grace, Mike Ellis and Vlahov I nthat statistic.
He’s also in the top five for total rebounds and blocked shots and he expects to climb even higher on those all-time leader boards.
“I chose number 42 for a reason, I figure I’m 33 so I’ve got nine more years in me,” he joked.
“I honestly don’t know how long I’ll be here. I’ll keep playing as long as I can help this team win and be productive out there on the court. I love playing the game, I love trying to challenge myself.
