I think your point about environment, particularly the size of the student body, kind of goes to the previous point about facilities: with nearly 40,000 students trekking down the halls every day, it's very hard to keep things clean and new-looking. Haas looks clean partly because it's new, but also because there are fewer students using it than, say Wheeler or Dwinelle. Oh, I also want to thank you for saying that Berkeley is the top public university, but I'd argue that this means it's the best university, full stop. That's because there's no way you can buy your way in through, say, legacies or donations. And that goes for most public schools. Admissions is transparent in other words, and we still get the top students. Anyway, sorry for this rant! Great run-down btw, like an insider's tour. Also, nice sneaker collection!

@@lillianhuang160 Thank you! I hope you were referring specifically to the point about Berkeley being the top university, period. I really think public universities, not private universities, are inherently better schools. Elitism ruins the educational experience, in my opinion. Oh I'm a little disappointed that it's not your sneaker collection! A guy who's into sneakers is cool, but a girl who's into sneakers is awesome. Well, you're dating a sneaker guy, so that makes you cool, at least. ;)
