Ten Years After's ALBUMS that deserve a listen: "Cricklewood Green," "Sssshhhh," "A Space in TIme." They did others but I've never heard them to recommend. Def NOT punk, but Rock 'n' Roll and Alvin worked with some jazz later in life; several ballads on their records, slower, more contemplative, not all head-bangin' tunes.

Definitely not punk but is Rock and roll. Epic 60s-70s band. Ten Years After name had something to do with Elvis.

Punk didn't even exist at this time. I was 19 at the time and there was nothing angry about this. This is Rock n Roll baby!

Ten Years After was NOT a punk band. Listen to I'd Love To Change The World". Check out some of Alvin's solo stuff like The Bluest Blues. Alvin is straight rock and roll/blues. This is a severely cut down video. You should watch the whole complete video.

They were slightly before the Punk Movement, but this song sounds like a lot of Punk Music, and that's what Justin was saying. It was the first time he ever heard this, and that was his TRUTH! Thanks for the listen!

Alvin once said, he learned everything he needed to know about playing guitar from Scotty Moore, Elvis' guitar player. @@OnlytheTruthReviews-pe9mw

This is the blues , with a little rock n roll mixed in ! Ten Years After was blues and jazz , once in a while they would throw in some rock . They are definitely not angry ! If you listen to enough blues you would know that a lot of blues has a faster beat than some rock n roll songs do !

#1: This is the ELECTRIFIED BLUES. #2: It's a LOVE SONG! He's going home to his "baby," his "wife." No hate, except maybe the bass player beating up on his "axe" and the drummer his "kit." 0-to-100 mph in 1 musical measure!!!

Ten Years After have a double C.D., a compilation of rock, twelve bar blues and boogie songs.Worth the purchase. The I'm Going Home track is from the Live In Europe set.

Later on in 2004 he dialed it back a bit with his record "Alvin Lee in Tennessee" recorded in Nashville. He showed off his talents on this album in a laid back fashion playing jazz-influenced blues and boogie style bop as well as some classics and originals. Worth checking out.

What a great smile and nod by the older gentlemen when the younger guy says " cover by helicopter " not knowing that was how the band was gonna get out of woodstock. Great reaction guys !😊

@OnlytheTruthReviews-pe9mw I gotta say after watching more of your guys' videos, Im Subscibed. Some great music and reactions. Would love to see you guys react to some Muscle Shoals session work that featured Duane "Skydog" Allman. Such as Aretha Franklin's version of "The Weight," just killer tone dirty swampy slide work. Same for Clarence Carters "Road of Love" and then lastly Wilson Pickett's version of "Hey Jude". Eric Clapton heard it on the radio while driving and had to stop right then at a phone booth and make phone call to find out who the f### was the guy on guitar. And needed to know right now Thought it was best solo he ever heard, and that's how he got picked for the solo on Layla.

No, not "Cover by Helicopter", just "By Helicopter" because the only way the bands could get to the festival to perform was to first get to a motel/hotel somewhere not too far from the site and be flown in and out by helicopter. Alvin was being humorous.

we lost 3 great leaders and if you were at least 19 and couldn't get a deferment you were most likely drafted & sent to a war that was escalated by the Gulf of Tonkin lie that 2 U.S. ships had been attacked there. The music was like a refuge for many then & into the 70s with the expanding jazz , classical , rock fusion. Thanks , brings memories
