Interesting to see how the song developed over time. With Jack singing and acting like he's stoned you see the original comedy intentions of the song much clearer than in the album version, which rocks so hard it can't be as funny. The swing between the chilled "What's the name of this song" and screaming "EXPOSIVO", then back to chill again, is hilarious.

A dark time for the D. They wrote that song when they realized the devil only paid for one month of rent which they were already behind on and sadly were forced to visit the place that all musicians dread. The pawn shop. But did they quit? Hell no. Guitars? Who the f___ needs em? We're the D. And we're nothing if not tenacious. We can write a masterpiece without guitars. And at that very moment, they hear a honk from behind. And that, my friends is why, you'll no longer see JB play his beloved black, double horned, cryptic symbols, rock crown special. Legend has it that it was bought by some kid who didn't stick with it and eventually got into RC car racing and moved to Anaheim. He saw the trailer for Pick of Destiny, thought it might be good but never went to see it and thus never realized what he had. And so the guitar awaits it's master as its master awaits his axes reemergence. Forever passing each other in the night. The RC car kid left it at his grandmother's house in LA. Jack doesn't know it but he's driven right passed it, within feet of it, hundreds of times, as is the nature of the world. For, it never fails a chance to exercise irony. I bet you're wondering right now how the world is exercising irony on you. Isn't that right Brian. Yes, you Brian. I'm talking to you specifically. I bet that freaked out anyone who read that and who happened to be named Brian.
