Thanks David … the way I see it is if we want to promote our sport for the future , we need to help anglers catch fish and push for catch and release. Protect the fish stocks .. sharing venues helps beginners stay interested because they are catching , also it usually anglers that see any threats to lakes or fish stock first .. thanks again for supporting the channel .

@@fishyphilgoesfishing hi, same here, I'm an experienced angler, I visited Belturbet/Ballyconnell for over 20yrs but haven't been over for a while, something I'll be rectifying soon hopefully 🙂 and I understand the need for "discretion" but like you say, new anglers or those that travel need a little guidance on where to try, and also fish welfare (trying not to preach here lol). I built up a host of decent venues over the years but also spent more time on venues that were hard or needed intense effort, something you don't always have, or want, on a holiday or with restricted time. Tight lines 😉

That’s the reason I started this channel. To get beginners started on the fight foot and keep them interested. I’m not one for blurring out landmarks in the background.. if you’re interested in sea fishing we have some great venues here too , I have some beach and boat videos on the channel , you might take a look

Hi Niklas.. yes prebaiting is important,, the video was made on a 2 night camping trip .. so Friday by the time you get everything set up you don’t really get to much fishing done but still put in some bait into the swim , then Saturday morning put more bait in , Saturday evening the swim started to fish with a few fish showing more bait went in at the end of the session, Sunday morning more bait going in and the fish showed up in numbers so the swim was baited up 4 or 5 times over the trip .

There is a lot of weed in the lake these days so that makes shore fishing difficult but I have seen some people do well from the shore if you can find a seedless spot

There are a few spots on the left hand side as you go down .. check them out as they are different sizes and it depends on how much space you need … good luck with the fishing 🎣
