We head to Dublin, Ireland, for the seventh day of our 9-day Cruise onboard the Carnival Pride out of Dover, England. We have a chaotic tendering process getting to shore and back onto the ship again. In between we take the train to Dublin and spend the morning checking out the castle, Trinity College and Grafton Street. Back on the ship, we get ready for a night of comedy and theatre.

Appreciate you covering this itinerary! Somehow, there are not many good videos about ports and things to do in these ports , and it’s not easy for us from western hemisphere who never sailed from / to Europe… but the most interesting coincidence, we will be on exactly same itinerary , sane ship exactly 52 weeks after you were on it 😇

Your are very welcome. If you have any questions after watching the vlog series please let us know. Are you doing just the 9 days or adding it to the cruise before like we did to make it 21 days?

@@CruisingCanucks thank you, we just finalized tickets and days off last night! Flying the day before and staying two days after. Too few days, but long flights and this many days on the ship 🚢 , making it the whole two weeks of time-off from work. Can’t wait to see the UK 🇬🇧:)

Have a great time. We did a few days before the cruise cause of the jet lag fears. Should be fun!

Evidently, those same million people were in Dublin when we were there. We took a hop on hop off bus (which was made for people who were 5'5" or shorter..no leg room) and noticed that at every stop, only a few people were able to get back on because no one was getting off. So when we got to the Guiness brewery, we knew not to get off. Instead, at the end of the tour we found a bar and had lunch and a Guiness there. It was delish. The castle looked amazing. Love all your vlogs.

We so wish we could even find a pub that we could get into without a wait. We would have loved to have a drink and nibble - hope you had something good. Not sure why it's always so crazy in Dublin- it sounds like you found the same.

Dublin is very interesting and beautiful but has no public places to sit! At least in the old square.

Hi guys I love your show and was really looking forward to your Dublin day as I came to Canada from Dublin a long time ago. However I was disappointed that you did not try a guinness or have any food in Dublin. You were referring to "Cobb" in Cork and it is pronounced COVE also the Dublin port is pronounced DUNLEERY. Only in Ireland eh? Take care and have a lovely trip home.

We had every intention of stopping at the Temple Bar and also hoping to grab a bite....timing wasn't with us as most restaurants and bars had lineups out the door by the time we were thinking of making a stop. It was so crazy busy - not sure why. Also the threat of rain was increasing and sadly we headed back early. Neither one of us like beer at all - so having a Guiness wasn't in the cards - but we regret not having a chance to eat. We'd prefer to see Ireland not by cruise next time - it deserves a much longer vist. We loved it!

How long of a walk was it to the train station after you got off the ship? I am looking at excursions on Carnival and it seems that they are charging $109 per person for the excursion called Dublin on Your own. This has them take you to what I believe is Grafton Street. I like the idea of paying $10 round trip for 2ppl. I will be travelling with my parents in their 80's is this walk to train too much for them.

The walk to the train station is short from the tender drop off site. However, the distance to walk once you are in Dublin is very long. We did a lot of walking that day from the train station to the sites in Dublin. You might be able to uber or taxi from the Dublin stations but we don't know for sure.
