Dating back to the 9th century, Tenebrae (Latin for ‘shadows’) is one of the oldest Christian traditions for commemorating the crucifixion of Christ.
We will follow Christ in His in last moments, the Tenebrae concludes with the ‘Strepitus’ or noise symbolizing the closing of the tomb is sounded when the last flame is extinguished.
This is a recording of the Live Tenebrae held at the Cathedral of the Good Shepherd in 2023.
