Looks good! I need to install heated grips on my T7 too... Was actually thinking about Oxford as well.

Perfect video, perfect cave and perfect music! I’m doing the same in a few days, but I’ve read about people conncecting the wires to the already installed auxiliary cables under the right side panel. One has to cut the cables and put a Yamaha/OEM connector to it though.

Thank you so much for the comment !!! For that reason I chose to connect directly to the batery. I remember one day, I came to work and forgot to stop the grips. I was already inside and in a meeting when I realised. After 25 minutes I ran out to stop them but they were stopped. So the internal protection system really works !!! I am waiting the good wheather to come to start making new videos again. Cheers and ride safe !!!

@@DragosRDS I’m not 100% certain, but I believe that the grips connected to the aux connector shuts off with the battery. I have a lithium battery in my bike, do you think this matters?
@DragosRDS3 жыл бұрын
@@JohannesDalen No, I think in the case of Oxford heated grips it doesn't matter because they are such a great proven product that does what it is advertised to do, stops when not moving. In case of other brands, yes, they are very power hungry and they will eat that lithium fast if you forget them on.

I have my GPS connected to the the aux power cable in the front. I used a splitter so I still have an an extra plug and play connection for whatever I wanted. Much easier to run wires to the aux but most importantly it will shut off with the bike rather than if it was connected to the battery. Also, before u get heated grips u might want to actually see if u need them. I have some acerbis hand guards and they do such a great job protecting from the wind that with winter gloves I have no problem being in 50F or above. Secondly, heated grips are nice but they really don’t heat your entire hand. If I was really wanting to go out in cold weather I’d just get heated gloves and not worry about install of grips - on any bike ever again!

@@martin4819 Good timing, Martin! I just came home from a ride on my 701 enduro which doesn’t have heated grips and my hands are freezing cold! 🥶

Very useful video, I will be fitting Koso heated grips this week, many thanks. I see you have one of those Sena +Mesh device’s, is it any good and what are the benefits please. I read somewhere that it allows you to chat to other riders and listen to music in the background, at the same time?
@DragosRDS2 жыл бұрын
Thank you for watching. The Sena plus mesh is great, it allows me to connect in a mesh network with my friends although I was using an older Sena 10CPro. Now I am using a Sena 50S wich allready has the mesh integrated. I was not able to share music while talking on the sena plus adapter, good for talking, imposible for music sharing. Now with the 50S it is ok, I can listen to music while speaking.

Thank you very much for the videos. Is that a Scott stabilizer I see ? If so does it make a difference in rough off road stuff? Thank you in advance
@DragosRDS2 жыл бұрын
Thank you for watching. Yes it is a Scott stabilizer and the difference is night and day on rocky climbs or going donwhill on rocks. It gives so much confidence and reduces fatigue because you're not fighting the handlebar anymore. So yes, it is a wonderfull device !

Great video, doing the same next week. Noticed you have mirror extensions, does it help with reducing wind noise?
@DragosRDS2 жыл бұрын
Thank yoy! No, for me it does not work,

If you have a compressor, you can blow air under the grips, and they slide right off or on... nice sound track..What is the little green butten next to the Oxford controller? Oh, and where did you get the mirror extenders? So many questions.....Did you remove the tank?
@DragosRDS Жыл бұрын
The button turns on and off the aux light, the mirror extensions are SW Motech. When I had that bike I remember it was horrible to put thise on, but next time I will use compressed air for sure !!!

Nice video. Is that Steering damper a Scott or the Chinese version? And, do you think a steering damper is necessary? Only asking as I'll be collecting my own T7 this month. I had a Chinese damper on my MT-09 Tracer for 4 years and it was fine.
@DragosRDS2 жыл бұрын
Thank you for watching ! It is an original Scott made in USA. And if you are planning some serious offroad (specially rocks, babyheads) then YES it is necessary. If not, then I think there is no need for one ! Congrats on the new T700, it is a wonderful machine !

hi, how do yo route the wires from the battery to the controler?, under the tank or to the side panel ?
@DragosRDS2 жыл бұрын
The controler has a big wire with a plug at the end. From the battery to the plug I routed the wire to the side pannel, right side sitting on the bike. You have a lot of space there
