Playa de las Américas is a tourism hub filled with shops, bars and restaurants, located on the largest and most populous island of the Canary Islands Tenerife. It is made up of four artificial beaches for visitors to enjoy that were created using golden sand shipped in straight from the Sahara Desert in Africa. Together these beaches are known as the Playas de las Américas and they stretch out for over a kilometre.
