The Tennessee State Fair is an annual state fair, formerly held in Nashville, Tennessee. The Wilson County-Tennessee State Fair is the largest fair in Tennessee and is nationally recognized.

As a life long Wilson County resident, I need to make a correction here. This IS the Wilson County Fair. One of the top fairs in the nation year after year. The state fair has just come to piggy-back on us because they lost control of their fair. The Wilson County Fair has been the top county fair in Tennessee for decades. And one of the best in the country for as long as I can remember and I am 57 years old.

We miss the days when it was just exclusively the Wilson County Fair. When the state fair was in Nashville, it didn't hold a flame to the Wilson County Fair. They are now requiring clear backpacks this year at the fair and it doesn't have the same feel that it did before the state fair merged with the Wilson Co. Fair, but it's still a fun time. We agree - this fair is in our top 3 favorite fairs that we have ever attended and it's an annual tradition for us to attend.

Thanks for taking me along to the Tennessee State Fair! The fried green tomatoes comes with a ‘Secret Sauce’ made from mayo / sour cream, lemon juice, spices, horseradish, Worcestershire, onion & parsley

Looked like a lot of fun. The food was making my mouth water. Back in my younger days, I would have loved the Hulk ride. But not anymore. Thsnks for taking us along!

There's so much to do and see at the fair this year. We wish that we could have showcased more. The food was really good, other than Brent's philly cheesesteak. Always enjoy a good fair. They hay roll of the state flag looks awesome! Enjoyed seeing all the different hay rolls. I remember the zipper from back in the day. I wasn't expecting the deep fried bacon wrapped mac & cheese to be Gentry's favorite all-time mac and cheese. The roasted corn looked so delicious. Loved the pics of the boys eating it. That red convertible mustang!!! The Tennessee regions, their products, and famous people looked so interesting. Farmer Henry was so cute! That cinnamon bread did look delicious! When Brent said the cinnamon bread beat Dollywood, we are like we've got to try it! Such wonderful family fun! Would love to attend the State Fair of Tennessee!

We are with you - there's something special about a good fair. The mac and cheese was surprisingly really good - it far exceeded what we envisioned it was going to taste like. The one and only food that the boys have chosen each year is the roasted corn and they couldn't pass it up since this year's fair theme is corn. If ya'll are ever in Middle Tennessee in November/December, you should check out Chad's Winter Wonderland. They put on a nativity scene with real animals, an impressive drive-thru light display, and there are drive through barns with different scenes (Santa, the Grinch, and more), but their cinnamon bread is worth the visit alone. Carly would love visiting Chad's Winter Wonderland. We hope that y'all have a great week ahead and thanks for watching.

I have lived there in Wilson county at one point in my life. And I have went there to Wilson county state fair. I loved it there. All except for the heat and I almost got sick being so incredibly hot after I rode the scariest ride in the park. But it was all worth it and had a good time there. I recommend it to everyone to go there it's fun.

If the mac and cheese connoisseur, Gentry, says that is his favorite mac and cheese, I know it must be great. Did you say that the clown is Jennifer's dad? He really looked cool! That red with white interior Mustang has been my dream car since I can remember! Awesome ride! I come from a John Deere family. My 88-year-old farmer dad would have loved seeing that. My daughter's dad and I went to the Worlds Fair in Knoxville. I have a lot of great memories of attending. I had the pleasure of seeing Charlie Daniels live a couple of times. He was amazing. I miss him on Twitter. He always had great words of wisdom and knowledge. The pig races were so cute. Bless sweet Gentry's heart for picking a prize to Henry. That was so sweet. The mac and cheese was surprisingly much better than we would have imagined it being. Yes, that was Jennifer's Dad who is the clown/Shriner in the video. That's really neat that your Dad was a farmer and that y'all had John Deere's. We had a couple of John Deere wagons, but we had all Case International equipment because it was the closest dealership and parts shop to where we lived. The closest John Deere was in the next county over. Charlie Daniels always delivered a high energy show and we have some friends who went to church with him and said that he was just a really nice and humble man. We're with you - he had so much common sense and knew what our country needed. Thanks so much for watching, Cathy. We hope that you have a wonderful week ahead as well. Having a family ain’t cheap is it! Bet that was a $300 day with admission & parking….. but ya gotta love taking the younguns to the fair! Too bad there’s no demolition derby any more

The fair can definitely get pricey. We were fortunate to get our ride passes and admission tickets provided by Jennifer's Dad, who was the clown/Shriner that is in the video. The parking at the TN fair is also free. We spent right around $100 for the day but it would be very easy to spend $300 for a family. The demolition derby is scheduled for this upcoming Friday and Saturday. We went to the Clinton County Fair in Ohio last summer to watch a demolition derby. We didn't film that day, but the demolition derbies just aren't like they used to be. We hope that you have a great week ahead, P J L

I agree with Brent. I tried the cinnamon bread this year after watching your 2022 Wilson County Fair video and it was my favorite thing at the whole fair. Have you ever tried Merry Bee's? They have homemade cheesecake and it's so good that I have to get some from there every year. Also, it's weird that they wouldn't let you bring in any camera equipment. Jacob the Carpetbagger was there and he had his stabilizer/tripod for his DSLR. I also agree with Jennifer about the amount of food. It's overwhelming. They used to have about two rows of food back in the day and now they have six. It's hard to make a decision about what to get.

We're so glad that you got to try that amazing cinnamon bread. We will have to try the cheesecake at Merry Bee's next year. Do you recommend a certain type of cheesecake that they have? We informed the security guard that it was not posted anywhere on their website that gimbals and camera equipment were not permitted, but they didn't seem to care. We spoke to someone who was a fair official and he said that he would talk to security about that, but we had already placed out equipment back in teh truck. We're glad that you had a great time at the fair and we hope to see you there next year.

The new clear bag policy takes away from the feel of a fair and feels more like entering an NFL stadium. It was still fun but not the same as when it was just the Wilson Co. fair. and not as crowded.

We would love to head to Canfield, but we will be filming in the mountains during that week. Thanks for letting us know about it. We've written it down to see if we can make it work for next year - we'd love to check it out. We'll be back in Ohio in November/December.
