Paire was right on the second match. There was a very annoying spectator, speaking just before the serve and calling him Benny instead of Benoit, witch is also annoying from a french point of view.

I am sorry but the umpire is an idiot. If he thinks Lopez is challenging a ball that is obviously out. lopez could probably he a bit faster with his call but nobody with common sense would do it. If he wasnt sure he should have asked instead of assuming this or tell him it was too late for his challenge before wasting his last challenge for the set.

@@dennisvillaflor3359 And by the way, he won that match 6:7(5) 6:2 6:2. He went into Cheater-Alliasime mode in that particular moment and looks like it paid off. Similar type of situation was made by Raonic against Del Potro, Montreal 2013. Del Potro later had a sweet revenge beating Raonic in straight sets in final of Tokyo, same year. Hope Dzumhur gets his one too.

I watched the "double bounce" about 10 times, and I still can't tell 100%, but it looks to me like Felix dug it out off the frame and not the second bounce.

he caught it before the second bounce, but he hit it in the floor and then it went over the net, its not a legal shot and its obvious because of the spin which is different than whats its supposed to be if you catch it normally. thats what Dzumhur was complaining about that it was obvious to see the spin of the ball which is not normal

Shapovalov (in Auckland) is absolutely right! The digital signs on the side perimeter of the court (swisse) changes from white to red during the point. He should have stopped then and there to make the point, but he is right.

The problem is the supervisors cannot overrule a chair umpire on most things (they cannot change a call or a score), they are there to make sure overall procedures and rules are followed.

@Tennis Advocate If you want to correct something, at 10:22, the referee said to Damir that he didn't see the " not up " . The "not up " is when the ball bounds twice and the opponent hit it as well :) Great video though !! ^^
