The first point was the epitome of peak Federer: Slap the ball with the forehand and it goes in an impossible angle with topspin.

In indoor fast courts. (And most hard courts.) Nobody can match him.

On indoor hardcourts and fast grass, no one can match prime Sampras. Particularly with the equipment of the 90s.

I doubt Agassi was ever bullied around the court more in his career than in this match. Roger could take the ball as early and consistently as Andre but with a bigger serve and forehand. It was a total destruction.

I love it when haters say federer dominated because era was weak , yet you see him here completely destroy a 32 year old agassi in a big final as if he is a bum , people Agassi won a major in 2003 and had weeks at no 1 that year so please throw the excuses at garbage

the masters cup at Houston was an abomination. it had no business being held outdoors and im glad the organizer was there in person to see agassi get his butt spanked. Nothing against andre, but the organizer was beyond pathetic. tennis is an international sport. period
