this game has been incredibly well supported by the devs with constant updates and fixes, and for an actual tennis game shits all over mario (which i also have as I am a huge tennis fan). This is a GREAT tennis game.. fantastic actually. I am so glad I bought it.

How do you rate the campaign mode in the WRC games? They have a 'ton' of that career and crew management malarky.

Theres a button to hit inside out and to sprint? Thats really weird you think far dist running would auto sprint and inside out should be by aiming the control stick. I'm deciding whether to buy it right now, should I?

I've read some of the initial horror stories so was going to give it a pass, but if as you say, they have released patches to remove a lot of the bugs and issues... then £14 might be worth taking a chance with?

So have the control issues been fixed and is the career mode worth the purchase? 6 usd on the US store now

Great video. I was waiting for this game so much, since some of the developers worked in what it is the best tennis video game ever made, Top Spin 4. Then, I read the horrible reviews and I didn't buy it. I hope the new version that you mentioned in time for Roland Garros takes the game to the old Top Spin times.

As someone who bought this game multiple times (at steep discounts on XBOX then later on Switch), I actually quite like TWT now... its not fantastic but it plays OK in short bursts for a portable tennis game. It has improved technically with patches (but then at launch it was barely playable with glitches, freeze bugs, control issues, missing content etc depending on your platform so could only improve really) but for a full price game (xbox legends version was 70 quid!) it was a VERY poor way to launch a game. To clarify, Big Ben are the publishers, (Breakpoint are the developers - they don't have much of a track record outside of this release though). At the time of launch, it was annoying that the online was dropped days before release and the devs made an initial comments about patching things in. The PS4 version got a couple of patches quickly that didn't really sort things but other versions were left behind. They then went radio silent for many months (to the point it was assumed the game had been abandoned) before patches started to trickle out again, finally fixing bugs. My suspicion was that the small studio went into meltdown after launch and it took months to sort things out. To make things worse, a french site interviewed a Big Ben director who stated that they knew the game was in a bad state but were confident it would still make a profit because the physical copies were non-returnable!! I don't know how well translated his comments were but that sums up Big Ben for me (look at their game track record of niche sports / racing games for example and they often launch games in a bad way with limited or slow patch support post launch) - a publisher I simply do not trust meaning I do deep research on their games before I buy now (I don't like punishing a developer for their publishers track record

Incredible that a tennis game from 2018-2019 is so bad😣 comparing it to top spin 4 or the last virtua tennis.

Just give me Virtua Tennis 4 World tour edition. That is the perfect mobile tennis game. These guys dont get it.

As we're on the subject of games that improve with patches, have you come across this guys' website? He updates it several times a week and it lists all the latest patches on Switch games... I check it regularly and then dip back into my older games to see if the patch had a big effect on gameplay, framerate etc.. just resort by date to see whats been added recently... also useful to see if big new games get a day one patch :-) www.benoitren.be/switch-gamepatches.html
