Well I honestly feel like players who have won a bunch of ATP 250,500 titles as he has have a lot to be proud of, hell even just one. He has entertained a lot of fans and sure does have some real trophies to show for it

@@Kooooyooooy he did play in the Roger, Rafa, Djoko era. Basically, very few opportunities to win Grand Slams. He should be proud of his career.

He lost to the Big 3 an absurd number of times. 2-14 against Nadal, 4-10 vs. Fed and 0-17 against Djokovic. That's 41 tournaments ended too soon by legendary talent. The man was simply born at the wrong time. If he existed in the Sampras/Agassi/Becker era he would have multiple SF and F appearances in major tournaments. Alas, he encountered three men who each achieved tennis perfection at some point in their careers.

I remember starting tennis after seeing my first Monfils' matches on TV, when I was a very young boy. I don't care that he doesn't have the biggest palmares or any of that stuff , This man is the biggest wildcard in this sport, and I love it.

The last point is insane, we expect him to let the ball drop and hit a twiner or something, but he actually ends jumping 180 degrees towards the ball when it's rising, to hit a kind of smash. Fucsovics was so oblivious to that... he started to do his split step when Monfils actually hit the ball.

You should wonder why Kyrgios gets much more attention by media than La Monf. Both of them are good entertainers and most of people like seeing them when they play. On the contrary to my favourite tennis player (Rafa Nadal), they don’t mind playing some low percentage spectacular shots to entertain. But there are important differences as Monfils: - behaves well on and off court - is well liked by his tennis mates who find him very funny and nice. - is never rude or unkind to neither his mates, nor the umpires or the expectators. You see Nick, you should take notes and learn something my friend… ;) ;)

No problem if he focus more in social media than in his own tennis game, but I would very much like he wold not direspect any of his mates, umpires, clay courts and so on. Can you understand that? Moreover a week ago in Winston Salem, he was "smart" enough to withdrew a few minutes before his match against Murray, but he was given the money anyway as if he had played. THE GOAT OF TRICK SHOTS Nick Kyrgios, Justin Brown, Fabrice Santoro etc, although they are great, none of them come even close. He did not win any Gran Slam, but he certainly did win my full admiration for his unparalleled skills.

Monfils gets criticized a lot for not being "serious" and not putting in his best effort to win a grand slam. How about tough straight-faced professionals like Ferrer, Verdasco, Gasquet, Simon, Isner, etc who always "played seriously" and put in their best effort but still didn't win one? Fact is...the era of the big three was the hardest to win a grand slam in. So I'm glad Monfils played to enjoy himself, made millions, won some titles, and is still playing. Sometimes, a few people are just better than others no matter what others do or don't do.

You are forgetting some “No Way!!!” Points: 1) burning forehand against Djokovic (Davis Cup 2010) 2) extremely long rally against Ferrero (Montreal 2009) 3) 190 km/h forehand against Kecmanovic (Paris 2021) 4) burning forehand against Gonzalez (US Open 2014) 5) another burning forehand against Nadal (Monte Carlo 2016) 6) burning forehand against Baghdatis (Australia 2007) 7) the 5 consecutive points against Nishikori to come back in the tiebreak…no just 1 point (Montreal 2017)
