Tenor Klaus Florian Vogt plays the HORN after 6 hour “Meistersinger”

2 жыл бұрынIt was somewhat of a surreal experience to play the Horn quartet from the third act of #Wagner's "Die Meistersinger von Nürnberg" with Tenor Klaus Florian Vogt, immediately after performing the 6 hour opera with Vogt as "Walther von Stolzig", which is one of the main roles of the opera. We had a lot of fun- who knew he was principal Horn in the Staatsoper Hamburg for 10 years!
The MET Opera Horns sound pretty good with Klaus' help!

Proves that tenors are not all bad musicians! :) Most at his level are well trained and often play an instrument or conduct. What a fun video and I had no idea. Amazing.

I have read that Siegfried Jerusalem was a bassoonist in the Stuttgart opera when he got a chance to go on stage and display his vocal talents.

He plays horn better than he sings. He’s truly a disgrace to singing.
