I had been thinking about trying a Ventus Black because of all the great things I have heard about it. Can't wait to see the next video you guys talked about comparing more shafts.

Love the content. Shafts are amazing. I remember I had a titanium shaft in my second driver that was a Taylor made burner in the early 90s.

I realize I’m in the minority of your 142k subscribers, but at 73 and with Driver swing speed 85-90, I would love to see fittings of Seniors that show what a deep-dive fitting can do for someone who has been fitted for every club except putter (by a “Top 100” fitter in 2017) but feels the shaft discussion - except for Driver - was never addressed (my lack of knowledge/exposure to your channel 3 1/2 years ago!). Where in Michigan or Florida - or states in between - could I even get an outdoor fitting for wedges, or shaft performance-based upgrade for any and all clubs?

Would love to see a head to head "fit" version with the 1k vs applicable Ventus vs applicable Diamana.

Id love to see a comparison on a fitted TM M2 vs an off the rack Sim2 just to demonstrate the importance of fit and the impact different shafts might have, etc.

Just paired my 1K with my Mizuno ST200G. Can't wait to hit the range with it.

The technology behind this is so underrated I fit a “I played in college and high school” and fell in love with golf again weekend warrior probably a 7 HCP that can go >low when things warmed up and it was pretty fun seeing him rip this thing against my trusty Ventus black go to and basically cleaned up misses and kept his cuts some legs

I personally love that feeling of if you go at it a bit, you get that extra feeling of the shaft working through impact - but you absolutely don't want the result for it to be turning over - that shaft sounds like a winner for the Callaway Max LS with the weight halfway out to the toe

It amazes me that Matt generates that amount of speed without really getting the shaft near parallel at the top of his swing His precise accuracy has got to be partly due to his limit on his backswing. Almost a modified Moe Norman look. Scary consistent. Love the videos. Very informative

Interesting test. Seems like the Cobra even in the XB launches a touch low with too low spin. Would like to see the next test of this and other shafts with a slightly higher launch and spin head like the Sim 2 or the Epic Max LS or TSi3 so Matty can give it the beans.

I just got fit into the exact same shaft... I was gaming a ad di 6x in my TSI3 that I bought used.. and the dispersion and distance got better when I tried the 1k pro white TX 60g ... was super happy until I saw the bill haha. Once I get it on the course I'll hopefully have no regrets.

I would really like to see some reviews of shafts and clubs better suited to older players. I am approaching the age of 63 but I am fit and still drive the ball - carry 220 meters (Australia sadly converted many years ago). Over 50’s make up a huge section of the buying market and have money to spend. My generation grew up playing blades because that was all there was and you had to centre a wooden driver. We can play.

Anything anti hook works for me. Love my Ventus Blue 6x. Black is likely too low spin for me. I got because of your reviews. Awesome video as usual.

Used to play the whiteboard and had the same feelings. Mitsubishi makes an amazing shaft. They feel like steel shafts to me. Just so smooth!

Ian as someone who currently plays the stock CK White in a 70X, if I wanted to give this a try would the 60TX be better for the higher torque (CK white is like 4.0) or 70TX to keep the weight similar? Love the content and always love supporting TXG!

I have both these shafts and cannot decide on one. The ventus black doesn’t feel as good but fairways are being hit more.

Great review, I feel like the 1K would compare a lot like the Motore F1. Even with speeds like Matt, the Ventus black was still too rigid for me. Which is one reason why I went away from the original DIamana whiteboard 73x (2.8°torque). The Fujikura Motore F1 had a little bit more play in the tip, and it really paired up well for me. I love the feeling of the shaft working for me.

What’s the tee they use? I think the problem with my fitting area is the tee has the ball sit too low for my preference so a tee I can bring on my own anywhere would be amazing

Ian, can we get a comparison of the Diamana D+ Limited 60 and 70 TX, Diamana D Limited 60 and 70 TX on a Mattys TSI 3? I can see Matty loving both those shafts, but you don't seem to ever review them. Diamana D+ Limited is the gold standard IMO for numbers like Mattys

Higher torque is so under rated

The rad speed is without a doubt the ugliest driver made by a major oem for at least the last 12 to 15 years! It maybe the ugliest ever!! No wonder Bryson hated it! If I were him, I would have taken one look and said NOPE!!!
