Tensile Test of a GFRP (Glass fibre reinforced epoxy)

2 жыл бұрынIn this video, I present to you the tensile test of a glass fibre reinforced epoxy composite. The volume percentage of fibre in the composite is 70% and the fibres were in the form of layered fabric. The failure mode was delamination between the fibre and the matrix and fibre fracture. The stress-strain plot showed no effect of the speed of pull during the test. Fracture strength, elastic modulus and % elongation at fracture were obtained from the stress-strain curve.

For tension coupon tests of GFRP, do we have to conduct test on lamina(single ply) or laminates (number of plies) ??
