I’d have far more respect for these people if they owned their own words. Go ahead, come right out and say: “I don’t think a white man who adopts a black child is genuine in his love. The little monkey is just an accessory.” I have far less respect for a person who “apologises” when their own mouth gets them into trouble. An apology that is “forced” is no apology at all. It’s a perfunctory apology intended to mitigate consequences. Who wants to hear THAT drivel? Your careers are over anyway, you might as well have the character to defend your own statements.
