Hello and welcome back to another exciting episode of Quirk Analysis 101, the series where I give you a detailed rundown on the quirks in Kohei Horikoshi's world of My Hero Academia or as it's also known as Boku No Hero Academia. In the last episode, I discussed our one-toned, tender-hearted emo boy Tamaki Amajiki, and his delicious quirk, Manifest! In today's video, I'll be breaking down everything you need to know about Mr. Exit sign himself, Tenya Iida (or ida for the manga fans)! So sit back and relax as I do you the absolute favor of discussing the overpowered quirk that is Engine!

I might be wrong, but I think Iida can use other juices as fuel, but orange juice either works best or he just likes it better. Tensei drinks grape juice as fuel. Also, if Tenya drinks carbonated beverages his engines stall.

Iida would never kick someone in their nether regions, since he himself said "a punch to the scrotum is unforgivable." (I know a kick and a punch are not identical, but I also know Iida is a real stickler for rules, so that kind of balances it I think.)

There is one more weakness this quirk has and it was actually mentioned in a way in MHA: Vigilantes: air resistance drag. This is partly why the Crawler was able to put speed the original Ingenium despite his years of experience and training, because the crawler was low to the ground and could minimize the surface area of wind resistance drag to himself while going at high speeds along with being able to grip surfaces tightly with his quirk to brute force through the wind resistance drag, as well.

Imagine if Tenya was a villain who worked for All For One. He already has Engine, but AFO could give him a perception increasing quirk, a durability quirk, and freezing quirk to get him to his max potential. Or he could upgrade his suit to enhance his quirk. Get liquid nitrogen coolant, add pipes to redirect thrust to other parts of his body, and add shock absorbers to let him kick without injuring himself.

Well I it’s been shown Tenya thinking while he’s running in slow motion once im pretty sure so I think his perception of time is actually incredibly fast actually.

lidas quirk doesn't require orange juice as fuel specifiacally, but any beverage besides carbonated drinks.

Iida doesn’t have enhanced reflexes? If that’s true then that’s the worst thing I’ve ever heard. The full body Iron Man getup makes sense now. He needs protection if he trips or hits an obstacle while going too fast.

Well, as much as he values the rules, ultimately his friends and loved ones come about that Examples: Willing to commit murder when his older brother Tensei was taken out of commission by Stain. Went with Midoriya, Todoroki, Kirishima, And Yaoyorozu to save Bakugo from the League of Villains despite how plain dangerous and stupid it was.

You're wrong on the kick not affecting women. The kick would still really hurt because there is a massive nerve cluster at the crotch for both men and women. Its just become more of a comedy thing for men to get hit there compared to women.
