@@Hukfyn ,mine is still pretty sharp since back in mid April is when I got mine,I've baton with it,make shavings, fire making an just widdling, also prepared pork chops by trimming off the fat an also trimming fat of chicken before cooking, also have skinned an cut up potatoes too,hell of a knife but when people show this knife at first it looks too big until you get one in your hands,so I'm glad with my decision, not too big but just right, I'd probably should've gotten the 110 as a skinning knife though an use my 140 or skrama as a self defense tool in the wild if needed,but altogether great choice for the steel they used to,grest on edge retention to.

I have the 110 and the 85.. absolutely best knives in my collection. EDC the 110 for a while..then switched to the 85..seems more practical for my EDC uses. I work outside.. Rock solid products. You can trust your life on the 110. Good content brother. You got my sub!

I'm a huge fan of this line of knives, especially the Skrama from the same stable. We all like a good table in the field, but for wood working use a log as at some time the edge will slam into the stone. No big deal, but its painful watching. We all do it but... I don't like a sharp spine as thats where my thumb goes often when working a blade. Sure I know its the fashion with bushcraft knives at present, just I'm not convinced. Take a striker, and a bic lighter. The 110 is shorter and easier to manipulate, the 140 better for poking about and splitting the odd wood block. If I take the Skrama I pair it with the 110. Either compliment a super keen pocket knife and saves the folder from abuse. Nice vid, I enjoyed it.

The Skrama is excellent and a must buy I think. I'll be doing a vid in the future on some of the smaller knives I use equivalent to the 110. Still I may have to buy one for the set👍. There's nothing quite like a sharp blade hacking at stone, I share your shudder. Thanks for your comments some good pointers. I'm glad you enjoyed the vid. See you on the next.

Cutting, and chopping towards a rock... You might want to invest into a chopping stomp somehow or make a wood guard to set on the rock. This way if you slip off the wood, or miss the the wood your knife will hit the wood instead of the rock. I do this when I baton on the ground - I can't imagine why it wouldn't work for the surface of the rock.

Jääkäri (means jaegar in Germany, EN= Hunter). it's a soldier's knife. (jääkäri=military rank in Finland and Germany)
@perttutorvinen9180
@perttutorvinen9180 4 жыл бұрын
Mr. Shlock Jaeger in Finland isn’t anything special forces, it’s the lowest rank in Finnish army. True, it translates as hunter, but in this context (Finnish puukko), it means soldier. I have m95 sissipuukko. I’ve had it since 1996 when I did my military service. Great knife, but if this would’ve been around back then, I definitely would’ve taken it over sissipuukko, as a soldiers knife.
@perttutorvinen9180
@perttutorvinen9180 4 жыл бұрын
Mr. Shlock Now that I have both, I don’t use m95 anymore. Jääkäripuukko does pretty much everything m95 does, but is way more versatile. M95 is better at chopping, but for everything else jääkäripuukko wins. M95 has slightly better handle and sheath (yes, there’s a knife with even better sheath than jääkäripuukko).
@perttutorvinen9180

Mr. Shlock But after all the praise I give to jääkäripuukko, I must say, I have a very personal relationship with my m95, with all the thing we’ve gone through together. My jääkäripuukko is just a knife. Maybe someday it will grow on me like m95 has.

Yeah I've noticed on mine the spine could be a tad sharper for scrapping but it all around it does everything I want it to mostly, we'll worth the money I've spent on it as well as the sharpening stone,I haven't tried shinning with it yet,if you get around to it or food prepping, let me know what you think,if working on getting the big brother, the skrama.
