After installing the Dana 60 in the rear of the TJ we found out the driveshaft no longer fits. Not wanting to shorten the previous driveshaft we chose to install an Extreme Short Shaft SYE from TeraFlex. We compare the differences between the previous SYE and this Extreme one. #RubiKidd #jeep #jeeptj #jeeplifestyle #jeeplife

I love my Atlas 4-speed with the AX15 transmission. It gives me multiple options for both low-range and high-range 2-wheel and 4-wheel drive.

The two wheeldrive low is very helpful in backing up a trailer in a very tight spot.

That’s a great point. Where would you recommend me attaching the 5th wheel on the TJ😀. I told Jenny I wasn’t interested in a travel trailer but!!!

Very good job Darren and Harley ! I could see how 2 wheel drive low could come in really handy . Took me a few minutes to figure it out ,but I did. Thank you for the video guys . I may look into doing that to my TJ . I run the TeraFlex sye that you took out.

I was really surprised at how easy it went in. I kept thinking I had forgot something. Expecting to enjoy this 2L feature for sure.

Do you know if you can find the rear output seal for these at the local autoparts store? i cant find a part number

first thank you for your videos I learn a lot, and two questions, whats the benefits of having a larger kardan? and read you need to make an upgrade to make you speedometer work again with the mega short SYE, how did you make it?

It’s not a larger cardan joint were looking for but a longer driveshaft. The benefits of more distance between the transfer case and rear axle is that it reduces the angle of the cardan joint. Concerning the speedo its easily fixed with a Speedo Healer. It’s a box that plugs between the output shaft pickup sensor and the factory wiring harness. It literally plugs in then you will need to figure out how much you will need to adjust it for your tire size.

I put the teraflex SS in my TJ as well 2 yrs ago. After 3 weeks I noticed a clunk when putting into gear. I have a built 32RH automatic. The teraflex drive chain started getting loose and sloppy. Now it’s worse. Especially when going from R to D. So in my case I can’t begin to tell you how much I hate cheap Chinese made junk. I’m speaking about the chain, not the kit.

LOL, the entire time I’m reading your comment I’m like” he knows the chain isn’t part of the kit”😀 then I get to the end. I’m with you on junk parts though especially if you bought premium and they sold (packaged) you Chinese garbage.

@@RubiKidd06 well I hope this don’t happen to you but in a way I hope it does so you know what I’m talking about. Maybe next spring I’ll be watching your video LOL. I’m not gonna be a happy camper when I buy an oem chain and install it. The results will be wonderful and a pleasant piece of mind though. My Jeep runs 35s with 5:13s but I bet I don’t drive 2k miles a yr and I baby it.

@@denniscampbell4414 true but a front mounted hitch is even better. Now your steering with extreme accuracy
