He didn't lose much.
A controversial decision back in 2006, before he turned pro.

@@joys8634 In the amateurs, fighters will literally belong to people who WORK for USA Boxing. This means that a fighter can have someone from his gym AS A JUDGE IN THEIR FIGHT. Another thing that happens is LBC Presidents (who run large regions of states) have fighters that they coach...so if they're in their fighters corner, the judges are literally SCORING A FIGHT FOR THEIR BOSS AND THEIR FIGHTER. Obviously, they're going to score for their boss 9 times out of 10. Another thing is gyms have to volunteer to host shows, with one incentive being a little bit of money for things sold at the event. The thing is, if judges score fights against their gym during the event, the gym is gonna be far less likely to host in the future. This means that judges will often score fights in favor of whichever gym is hosting, too. Also, if there is a hot local prospect, USA Boxing wants them to be encouraged to pursue boxing and represent at large tournaments (and hopefully the Olympics), so prospects get fights scored in their favor even when they get their ass beat. These are just the corruption incentives that I've learned about.

@@rickard.eriksson ....not by the rules...by the judging....there's a difference. In the Pros is more about winning the ROUND than individual points in the amateurs. This situation it's about what the judges scored as a point vs what they don't. There was 2 standing 8 counts and another situation in which the young man was hurt. Now beyond those events, the judges may have been scoring certain points in favor of the other fighter from their angle and expertise. What I'm saying is that, PERSONALLY, I don't see how the scoring was done where as the result was in question. And many in the building including another ref whom was standing next to me at the time of the announcement have Crawford clearly as the victor. None of it matters now. Hakim Jackson Maidana won 4 rounds their first fight you fucking casual. You know what a clean punch is in boxing right?? Maidana was hitting Floyd elbows and shoulders all night and was only occasionally landing good on Floyd. Maidana was fighting dirty the entire fight and still couldnt beat Floyd just look at the punch stats you fucking idiot. Mayweather landed 54% of his punches and Maidana only landed 34% get over it he lost. He also had another chance at the prize and he still came up short just proves Mayweather was better 🤷🏽‍♂️ sorry you hate to hear these facts you casual.

You don't even have to watch the full fight. It is simple math. The GG rules says "6) ...Finals (3) three (3) three minute rounds." and "10) Golden Gloves will use the 10 point must system for scoring all bouts.". So, if Bud won only one round when he knocked him down, he was 10-8. And, even if the other guy won the other 2 rounds 10-9, this fight was at worst a 28-28 tie, but in no case a win for the other guy!
