As much things that need to be tweaked in this game, I think we can all agree they’ve built a great foundation so far, and it’s still pretty fun when it’s played like intended. And this is coming from someone who used to bash this game 😂

12:18 I really hope they don't patch this, I know people always say "Why does it whiff!?" it's due to where you're stood once again. You're stood to the side of him whilst he's walking right, which means your straight isn't in line of his head to land. Watch it back and replay it, you'll see due to where your fighter was stood, the angle for the jab and straight were TOTALLY off centre. IF they update it and 'fix' it, the game will become hyper unrealistic like UFC 4 where punches just snap to heads. So please Henry, I love you brotha but you're wrong here! UFC 4 has somewhat rotted your brain when it comes to Logic. That shouldn't of landed at all, whereas in ufc 4 your character continues to track the fighter which is again UNREALISTIC. What this game's doing, is forcing players to play properly and put yourself in the RIGHT position for punches. Just because you're in front of him doesn't grantee a hit, you need to be in position, not to the right of him as he's walking to your left and you're punching. That's going to be a whiff, aka that's logical.

The thing that makes boxing so beautiful and gripping is that styles make fights! Every fighter has a different style, stance, way of going about things. Some hunt the head, some the body, some are super defensive wizards, others are power punchers who get knockouts all the time. Some are super fast and agile, some are just really technically gifted and good with angles, timing, and ring generalship. You should go check out some classic fights to really see what you are missing. Boxing is still my favorite sport, no matter how crooked it and the judges can be at times, but hey, even MMA, especially UFC, is falling victim to that as of late. Boxing always makes a comeback, just like some of its greatest fighters have.

The game looks good. My only gripe with the animations is how every fighter looks like their feet are stuck in cement when throwing. Also the knockdown animations could be sped up. Overall looks like it's heading in the right direction though. EDIT: To clarify, there is absolutely no pivoting on hooks and uppercuts. All arm punches.

Bud is a beast. Dude is undefeated and most likely might stay that way. Dude is very smart technically sound boxer.

I feel like the word overpowered is overused. Guys like Ali, Fury, Ray Robinson, Ray Leonard, Canelo should feel strong compared to the rest because in real life, they’re that damn good. It’s not like they can’t be beat. You just have to play smarter against those caliber guys and take your time.

I just figured out what's weird in the gameplay.. It's when you strike you stop moving. You cant throw strikes while leaning or moving in

Do you remember Virtua Fighter? I think this is very similar. You can't spam/button mash. I literally coached this guy online using Linares. You have to know your fighter's abilities, his/her strengths. Dude kept trying to trade hooks with Ryan Garcia. I said, "look here babe, step back, stop smothering your shots, keep Ryan at the end of your punches, hit him with a jab jab, then right hand. Or walk him into the right hand." Sure enough, he listened and boom goes the dynamite. Ryan was sparked on tiktok live cuz you gotta box smart. Now, EA Fight Night had a Corner Camera. Does this game? Corner Camera gives you full 360 rotations, you aren't always stuck on the left or right side.

Great when the fighters have their nuances in movement, hand holding, movement, footwork, etc... Can't wait for guys like Mayweather, Foreman, Hopkins, Holyfield, Lennox, Trinidad, Mosley, Toney, Oscar, Vargas, Winky, Inoue, Pacman

Martial your health is always the neutral color, not red even though you’re the red corner. Red is always enemy health. You can tell because the neutral color health bar between rounds will always correlate with your health bar during the fight.

Should add ability to clinch and push...not so much a "mini game" like clinch...but ability to tie your opponent up for like 1 to 2 seconds and push off...but then a weak stamina keep you from doing that for balance

Crawford, one of the BEST characters in this game. His power is really good, and his speed is good as well. It's a hard fight to win against him.

Everybody says Boxing is like a game of chess and people just do not seem to understand what it means. There is always a right and wrong decision. React well to your opponents move and you can take a piece of their game plan away. Realize what your opponents strategy is and expose it. Every match and style has a specific response depending on how they open. Boxing is the exact same way. One way strategy’s do not work. And I’m so ready to see the hundreds of players who absolutely suck at the game because of a low understanding of the sport and unwilling to understand it. I hope it doesn’t happen but people like that are the reason we have knee elbow spam in ufc 4. And why people may find a cheesy strategy.

Definitely think you need to watch the sport more. Literally every active champion across all divisions right now is unique. Everyone has their own swag, etc. Boxing isn't like it used to be, where across the pond everyone appeared "Robotic". Everyone has their own twist.

Playing this game like it's UFC game will make it seem like it's extremely boring and nothing works and it's so painful to watch this happen. Free footwork mode and head movement and jabbing like you're actually boxing lens to so much more success.

Do they not have lunging in this game ? You should be able to lunge in all directions to control range. It would make it so much better IMO .

No clue how they arrived at these punching mechanics / footwork but, it really needs to improve. It needs to be the main focus. That part of the game is still a 1/10. It’s that bad. All the peripherals are nice and all but, the fact that it’s still looking this bad is discouraging

Hey martial,is this game worth buying right now? I have really fond memories of playing fight night round 3 growing up and haven’t had a boxing game to fill that itch since then.

The thing about boxing I dislike the most is how many times we don’t get “The Fight”. Boxers duck each other so much I lost interest years ago. Especially when Floyd and Pac-Man should have fought in their true primes too. That was so annoying. UFC all the way.
